Has the time finally come for Brendan Fevola to step out of the public spotlight to face his personal issues? The troubled former AFL star was asked to leave Crown Casino this morning after being seen by Crown staff playing poker.
A spokesman for Crown, Gary O’Neill, told the Herald Sun:
“As soon as Crown was made aware that Brendan Fevola was in the poker room, he was approached by a responsible gaming liaison officer”
“And he was told: ‘In the circumstances Mr Fevola, Crown believes that it would be better for you not to be on the gaming floor’. He understood the point we were making and he left of his own volition.”
Mr O’Neill said Fevola was not banned and had never been banned from the complex, but the company was adhering to its own gambling policies with Fevola having well-publicised problems.
Fevola has been paid to appear on tonight’s Footy Show and will apparently give a wide-ranging interview.
Can Fevola find a path back from his problems?
