I have always wondered if the Brumbies would ever consider relocating to Western Sydney. I have always heard the rumours of the ARU’s dislike of the Canberra outfit, and with the current woes in club land in the west of Sydney, could a move be on the cards?

I mean no disrespect to the great rugby supporters and players of the ACT, but from a strategical point of view it would make a lot of sense.

The Brumbies have a well established brand in the Australian sporting market place and Western Sydney are in dire need a professional rugby outfit.

Yes, we lose a team that dominates the local sporting landscape in Canberra (the only one in Australia), but the benefits of finally developing a genuine pathway for Western Sydney rugby players could be MASSIVE for Australian rugby.

So, it begs the question of who is more important to Australian rugby: a strong Canberra or a strong Western Sydney?
