Dear Newspaper Editors across Sydney, we have all had enough of the Melbourne Storm Saga. Every day we hear more about the salary cap rort which took place last week. It’s old news people!

There are four monster games being played in NSW this weekend. The NRL should be focusing on getting people to these games.

The Melbourne Storm don’t exist in the competition anymore this season, o put them in the back of the sports section.

There is one night left before the Bulldogs and Parramatta go head to head in a semi-final rematch from last season. There has been nothing in the papers talking about this match.

Two of the biggest supporter bases in NSW ready to go to war on Friday night and you wouldn’t even know about it.

These two clubs set a record breaking non-Grand Final crowd of 74,549 and still the papers are talking about the Melbourne Storm.

As if you can’t see it when the Grand Final comes around, Melbourne will still be in the headlines: “They should be in it”, “They would have won this season’s competition, hands down”, “Robbed by Gallop” will flood the papers come September.

Here’s your Kleenex, because nobody cares anymore.

Not only is the Dogs and Eels clash going to draw a crowd, but the Saints are hosting the local derby with the Sharks, the Tigers play the Roosters at Campbelltown, and the Rabbits take on the Eagles.

All bar one of these teams are in the eight (Parra and Dogs equal eighth). Brace yourself for a cracker of a weekend.

Here’s hoping that Round Eight produces some of its own headlines.
