Western Sydney Wanderers will be looking to erase the disappointment of their draw at Perth last weekend when they host Melbourne Victory tonight. We’ll have live scores from 6.15pm AEDT.

It was a hiccup that Western Sydney Wanderers coach Tony Popovic really didn’t need.

After rolling to victories over Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide, the red and black half of Sydney looked like making it four on the bounce before a late Nick Ward goal meant the Wanderers would head across the Nullabor with one point instead of three.

Tonight they face another genuine contender in Melbourne Victory, who arrive in Sydney having beaten Newcastle Jets 3-2 in a pulsating encounter at AAMI Park.

Ange Postecoglou continues to drive the Victory toward the top of the A-League ladder and with Central Coast and Adelaide stumbling over the festive season, Melbourne are firming as genuine title contenders.

They’ll be stronger tonight with the return of Adrian Leijer, who comes back into the starting lineup after serving his one-match suspension, but the Victory will still be without Mark Milligan.

For the Wanderers, Aaron Mooy will miss with his own suspension, while Tahj Minniecon and Adam D’Apuzzo also are likely to be unavailable with injuries.

It’s third and fourth up against each other tonight, and as match of the round this one could be a cracker, and any result is possible.
