The future for the Parramatta Eels is not so dark because of the players like Jarryd Hayne and Jacob Loko.

Sure the Eels have had dark days in the last 22 rounds, with problems off the field like the 12 players being sacked and Chris Sandow reportedly again struggling with gambling problems (something he has denied since the end of 2011, before joining the Eels).

But with Hayne and Loko showing promising signs and the signing of star players – like Will Hopoate, who showed his ability before his two year Mormon mission – it’s not all bleak.

Jarryd Hayne has shown his skill in the past six years with the try assists he produces and strength with the tackle busts he makes.

Tackle busts are Jacob Loko’s strength on the left edge, with Loko coming third mid-season in tackle busts. His strength has improved in the two years he was injured with rehabilitation on his ACL.

This has improved his ability to break through tackles and create a break to make the left edge dangerous for opponents.

We don’t know what the new signings for the Eels will bring but they are part of Ricky Stuart’s plan and all Eels fans hope for more success than they have had in the last three years.
