Welcome to the second of the opening fixtures for Group E, as France take Honduras at the Estádio Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre. Join The Roar at 5:00am (AEST) for live scores and coverage.

France come into the 2014 edition of the World Cup a much more harmonious squad than 2010. They are one big happy family – unless you ask Samir Nasri, of course.

This has been reflected in their recent results, as they pumped Jamaica and Norway in pre-World Cup friendlies.

Honduras by contrast, are happy to be at the World Cup. The CONCACAF nation qualified in the third and final automatic qualifying spot during the hexagonal phase.

The Central American nation will be looking to the aptly named striker, Carlo Costly to avoid massive defeats in Brazil.

Group E unlike most of it’s alphabetical counterparts in this World Cup isn’t a group of death, as three of the four teams could advance to the round of sixteen.

It may depend on the results each get against Honduas so France will want a confident and quick start to their campaign.

Join The Roar at 5am for the thrills, spills and goals from the FIFA World Cup.
