South Africa won the first Test against Wales in comprehensive fashion, so head to Nelspruit’s Mbombela Stadium full of confidence. Join The Roar for live scores and updates from 1:00am AEST.

The Springboks displayed a combination of blistering speed and forward execution last week, particularly in the first half with Cornal Hendricks, Bryan Habana and Willie le Roux leading the charge.

The Springboks would not be completely satisfied with their performance, however, with a number of unforced errors and turnovers leaving plenty to work on as this team builds towards The Rugby Championship.

The Springboks will be looking to wrap this series up in a similarly convincing manner today, while adding a little more polish to the overall performance.

Wales on the other hand will be incredibly disappointed with their first Test performance and have a number of improvements to make if they wish to compete with South Africa in this match – most notably their defence out wide, which simply had no answer for the playmaking skills of the Springboks mercurial fullback Willie le Roux.

Shutting him down will be a major priority for the Welsh, as will as getting more out of their senior players – many of whom are well performed Lions tourists.

Wales certainly have the experience in their team, but one does wonder if they have the belief required to beat South Africa at home.

Both teams will be looking to improve from the first Test in Durban, which should ensure an absorbing match-up.
