Despite entering this match as heavy favourites, the Wallabies have vowed they won’t be taking things lightly with just weeks to go before the first match of the World Cup in England.
The Eagles struggled last time they hosted a top-ranked side at Solider Field, going down 74-6 against the All Blacks in 2014.
They also struggled recently when they hosted English premiership club side the Harlequins, going down 24-19 in Philadelphia.
Despite the expectation of victory the Wallabies will carry into this match, stand in skipper James Slipper told the media that the visitors won’t be treating the match as anything less than an international Test:
“We would do the same preparations if we were playing the All Blacks.
“We want consistency and a world-class preparation going forward. That’s a key and that is on us.”
Can the Eagles push the Wallabies at Solider Field? Or will the Australians rack up a cricket score?
