Issues continue to pile up for the Parramatta Eels, with a sex-tape of five-eighth Corey Norman allegedly being shopped around.

Channel Seven first reported the tape was being offered to media outlets, with an asking price of $150,000.

Seven said the video is “graphic and explicit”, one of which shows people appearing to do drugs, while another features Norman, former Penrith hooker James Segeyaro, and a naked woman.

Norman isn’t accused of having done anything wrong in either video, however the content of the videos are now the subject of an investigation by the Eels, who will be in contact with the NRL’s Integrity Unit.

It’s been a hell of a week for not just the Eels, but specifically Norman.

Over the weekend Fairfax Media published allegations that the former Brisbane Bronco had been paid cash in a car park by Eels recruiter Peter Nolan.

In a signed statement, former Parramatta CEO Scott Seward wrote: “Corey Norman was promised additional payments of $36,000 which was to cover rental payments of approximately $3000 per month.

“I recall Nolan telling me that the payments of $3000 per month were for Norman’s rent. On one occasion I recall Nolan telling me that he handed Norman a cash payment in the car park at Top Ryde. I recall Nolan saying words to the effect:

“Nolan: That’s what this is for. I handed money over to Corey Norman in the Car Park at Top Ryde. I remember saying to him [Norman] ‘mate, did you ever think it we’d get here and have to do this?'”

When asked to respond to these allegations, Norman said, “They’ve handed our 12 points [penalty] out, that’s it.”

“That’s the end of the story… they have handed our sentence down and we’ve got to build on that.

“All I can tell you is we’re just working every week to put pride in that jersey and put pride in our fans.

“Whatever story you want to come up with, we’re just going to roll on through and have the belief of what we want to do in our system.”

Norman is also due in court on Wednesday to face drugs charges.

The charges stem from another evening Norman spent with Segeyaro – the two were housemates prior to Segeyaro moving to the UK to play for Leeds Rhinos – the pair going for a meal with former bikies, before heading to the Star Casino in Sydney, where Norman was allegedly found in possession of MDMA capsules and muscle relaxants.

On the bright side, Andrew Johns said on the Sunday Footy Show he thought Norman would be the next Maroons half.

“I think he has gone past a lot of those Queenland halves who are next in line to [Cooper] Cronk and [Johnathan] Thurston,” Johns said.

“I think his form and with the way he plays if he got to that level and played five-eighth after all those freaks finish, he could slot straight in unfortunately for NSW.”

A sex tape, cash in a car park, and drugs charges – but at least Joey’s in his corner.
