Canterbury have scratched Josh Addo-Carr ahead of their trip to Cronulla after he failed to recover from the shoulder injury he sustained against Parramatta.

Connor Tracey, who was named on the wing with the Foxx in the extended bench, will make a club debut.

The superstar winger left the Dogs’ defeat to the Eels at half time with a suspected AC joint injury, though that was later downgraded and he was given every chance to recover, but was unable to do so.

Powerful young prop Tuku Hau Tapuha will become Shark #558 on Friday after being called into the team to face the Bulldogs. Hau Tapuha will replace Royce Hunt (virus) on the bench at Shark Park.

Benji Marshall has made his first big call as head coach at the Wests Tigers, handing a debut to 18-year-old Lachlan Galvin at five eighth for his side’s season opener away to Canberra.
