With the Queensland Maroons winning Game 1, 16-10 against the New South Wales Blues, the series moves to neutral territory for Game 2.
Game 2 of the 2022 series will be played at Perth’s Optus Stadium at 7:50pm AEST on Sunday, June 26.
This will be just the second time an Origin match has been played in Western Australia.
The last time was also Game 2 back in 2019 when NSW won 38-6 to tie the series at 1-1.
It was a great night for the Trbojevic family three years ago. Tom scored a hat-trick for the Blues while Jake was voted as man-of-the match.
The Manly forward made 133 metres with ball in hand and completed 24 tackles in a performance heralded by coach Brad Fittler.
It’s perhaps why Freddy was so keen to have Jack back in his side in familiar territory where he has performed in the past.

Three years ago 59,721 fans watched the game at the neutral venue. Ashley Klein will once again be the referee. He was the second ref alongside Gerard Sutton but now the game has reverted to just the single ref he’ll be in control of proceedings.
The Blues have a marginally superior record at neutral venues having won 7 of the 12 games played outside of New South Wales and Queensland.
The NSW side will be hoping history repeats as the side came to Perth 1-0 down in the series and ended up winning back-to-back games to take the shield.
