The Cronulla Sharks clash with the Manly Sea Eagles at Remondis Stadium on Saturday evening. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:30pm (AEST)

These sides last me in Round 6, a match which saw the Sea Eagles run out a 24-4 victory on a wet and windy day at Brookvale Oval.

The Sea Eagles curently sit in second on the NRL ladder, and with the Panthers enjoying a bye this round, find themselves with the opportunity to lead the competition by rounds end.

Despite a lofty spot on the NRL ladder, the Sea Eagles have been in patchy form as of late, and have struggled to string together consecutive wins.

Their cause has not been helped by the forced omission of Blues back-rower Anthony Watmough.

The veteran Sea Eagle earned himself a date with the NRL judiciary on Thursday night following a dangerous throw charge on Queensland’s Nate Myles during Game 2 of State of Origin.

Maroons star, Daly Cherry-Evans has been named for the clash, but looks unlikely to start with a knee injury still causing him issues.

It has been a tough stretch for the Sharks – they haven’t won since Round 8 and their mid-season form has been awful to say the least.

But a string of important names feature on the inclusions for the Sharks could provide a much needed boost.

Todd Carney, Anthony Tupou and Paul Gallen are all amongst the inclusions who are set to start on Saturday.

After leading his side to their first Origin victory in nine years on Wednesday night, Gallen will be confident he can inspire the Sharks to claim an upset victory against the Sea Eagles.
