Samoan star Tautau Moga has reportedly been arrested over a nightclub brawl in Brisbane on the weekend.
According to the Courier Mail, North Queensland threequarter Moga was partying with his Samoa teammates ahead of their Four Nations opener against England on Saturday, when a disagreement broke out at the Hot Gossip nightclub in Fortitude Valley on Sunday morning.
Moga is said to be one of eight men charged over offences including public nuisance and assault.
Canterbury utility Reni Maitua was also believed to be present at the nightclub when a scuffle broke out between the Samoan players and another group of men and police were called.
Samoan coach Matt Parish confirmed the incident to the newspaper.
“We are co-operating with authorities. As there is a police investigation, it would be inappropriate for me to comment further,” he said.
Samoa players involved in the incident could face sanctions ahead of Saturday’s match at Suncorp Stadium.
