WATCH: 'It's still hot!' Comical scenes as Andrew Johns froths over shirtless Dom Young
Joey is clearly still not over Dominic Young leaving the Knights. The Roosters winger scored the sealing try in a 40-18 win over Brisbane.
Shaun Kenny-Dowall is set to make his return to the NRL for the first time since allegations of domestic violence were levelled against him.
Kenny-Dowall has missed Sydney Roosters’ last three matches, but could return against Newcastle at Hunter Stadium on Sunday.
The Kiwi international hasn’t played since being arrested and charged on July 18 in regard to a number of alleged incidents involving former girlfriend Jessica Peris.
The 27-year-old was admitted to hospital two weeks ago due to concerns over his mental health. He returned to Roosters training last Monday and trained with the team for the following day.
Kenny-Dowall’s good friend and teammate Jared Waerea-Hargreaves said he was looking forward to him returning.
“The boys have his back and it has been massive the amount of support he has had,” Waerea-Hargreaves said.
“He is doing well and better than what he was. We are looking forward to having him around the place again. He is a brother to all the boys.”
Kenny-Dowall’s case is due to be heard in court again on Thursday, when he is expected to plead not guilty to all the charges laid against him.
