Competition leaders the Sydney Stars are out to continue their impressive start to the 2015 NRC season when they host the Perth Spirit. Join The Roar from 3pm (AEST) for live scores.
The Stars are atop of the competition table after an incredible 50-40 win over Queensland Country.
However, the win did not come without sacrifice as Stars winger Henry Clunies-Ross was forced off the pitch in the first half with a leg injury.
Clunies-Ross found the try line in the 15th minute, but is in serious doubt for the rest of the season.
Prop Tom Robertson scored two tries in the win, and will be looking to add to his tally against the Spirit.
2014 grand finalists Perth Spirit have had a dreadful start to the season, losing both of their games.
The Spirit never looked dangerous against Brisbane City or the North Harbour Rays, and will need to tighten up in the back against the Star’s new-found attacking flair.
Despite looking dominant early on, the Spirit were sloppy in defence and allowed the Rays to get back in to steal a winnable game.
The last time Sydney and Perth locked horns the Spirit ran all over the Stars in a dominant, 32-point win at home.
If the Spirit don’t tighten up their back line, the result could go the other way.
