Traditionally Round 1 is an absolute nightmare for Tipsters & this year proved to be no exception. Let’s hope Round 2 will be easier on everyone. My tips for the week:
Richmond, Sydney, Essendon, Port Adelaide, Geelong, West Coast, North Melbourne, Hawthorn, Fremantle.
* Richmond should get the job done but only just.
* Sydney v Adelaide is always a tough one to call but I’m picking Sydney only because it’s at
The S.C.G
* The Bombers should easily account for the Saints & even the ledger.
* As for the Power, it’s not if they win, but how much by.
* Cats to keep on purring, but only just
* The reigning premiers will fly high once again at their fortress.
* I know it’s only Round 2, but Brisbane’s upset of West Coast last week could be the biggest upset of the Home & Away season when it concludes. With the way the season has gone thus far, this is a danger game for the Roos even though it is only 1 round in thus far. 2 big reasons, why I think the Roos will win.
(1) Their a much better team at Marvel Stadium
(2) Their record over the Lions in the past 5 meetings is 5-0, & 4 of those by quite big margins
* Hawthorn should win easily
* The Dockers should prove too strong for the Suns.

2019 AFL season: Round 2 preview

Not often that the wooden spoon has literally got a club’s name written all over it. The Suns have gone back to square one. As far as the Champion Data stats are concerned, the Suns are 18th in most areas, if not all, & that will be reflected upon throughout the season.
It doesn’t happen often, but it would be no surprise if the Suns were to remain win less throughout the Home & Away campaign, but it would be nice to see them at least show some improvement.

2019 AFL season preview: Gold Coast Suns

If I was to go purely off the Champion Data stats, baring in mind Adelaide have the second easiest draw, but their list is ranked the second best, I can definitely see the Crows improving this year. Having said that, my boys (West Coast Eagles), have got the 4th hardest draw, but even as reigning premiers, they are ranked as the 11th best list, & they weren’t even predicted to finish in the finals last year & look what happened.

Looking at the reigning premiers from the last 3 years (Western Bulldogs, Richmond & West Coast), all teams were not even considered to be in the premiership window.

Knowing what we know & with the 2019 Toyota AFL Premiership Season fast approaching, it’s fair to say that there will be plenty of surprise results (upsets), which I think is a fair point considering the competition has never been more open & the last 3 years have shown us that.

Here’s my predicted ladder for 2019:

1. West Coast

2. Richmond

3. Collingwood

4. Melbourne

5. Adelaide

6. Essendon

7. G.W.S

8. Geelong

9. North Melbourne

10. Hawthorn

11. Port Adelaide

12. Brisbane Lions

13. Sydney

14. St Kilda

15. Western Bulldogs

16. Carlton

17. Fremantle

18. Gold Coast Suns
