After the one sided refereeing in the Wales v Fiji game the Wallabies were always going to cop it against Fiji. Some of the not releasing penalties were poor calls I thought. Not that long ago if the jackal was having a crack at the ball and then got cleaned out it was play on. Now it seems the jackal only has to touch the ball for a few milliseconds and still get the penalty even if they were cleaned out. What happened to having to release the tackled player.

Genge can hit the defensive line with a high body position and break the line. Not many forwards can do this in the modern game. Samu and Hooper both can as well. Genge was my player if the series with Lawes and Farrell not far behind.

Yes. Agree absolutely. Empty stands are a result of the rules and how they are being reffed by the TMO, and ref’s talked into red cards. scrum resets taking forever. I think there might be more long term head injuries from players leading with their heads at opposition players knee height. I also watched some old Brumbies games from 2004 the other day, full stands, lightening quick play, and well refereed. In saying all this the Brumbies last night were very good and their win well deserved. They’re a big chance next week. Hopefully Ben O’Keefe will be in charge.
