Early FIFA World Cup predictions: Argentina to triumph
Sorry but to start of i dont agree with your analysis of past world cup winners failing in the next touranment, in the sense, that this Spain team, is one of the most gifted, they consist of winners and they will not easily fail like their predecessor world cup winners…cant see that happening here. On the contrary i expect them to come blazing against teams that are not on the same page as them or just below them…..thus socceroos would be realistically humbled by spain.
Talking about Holland..and knowing them inside our, common we need to be realistic….if we didnt pla against them, why would be know too much about them….would we expect the coaches of dutch background whilst coaching to talk about dutch weakness??..cant see any logic in this.

I expect New zealand to intimidate fiji if they meet in the semi-finals…afteral thats part of their technic…and get Fiji down to 6 players….hope Ben Ryan looks out for that technic

Disappointing that neither England and Australia the big guns of the full code not making it to the quarters

Sheek, i think Spains national team depends on Real Madrid and especially Barcelona performance, and when Spain was dominant Barcelona and Real Madrid were winning major tournaments. Spainsh players are burnt out and fatigue has set in, a look at Real and Barcelona you can see that spainish players in these two teams are starting two wear out.
Early FIFA World Cup predictions: Argentina to triumph
I cant understand the Australian Football and soccer pundits like Craig…as still talking about learning and building…..when will this process end…when will learning end…the socceroos have been around for ages….they are not as if born out….or joined football recently….the socceroos should be going out there to win….i mean take players wanting to win…not to go for a joy ride and attending a coaching clinic…if the socceroos are not good enough then give the place to another team..and lets sit back and learn and get ready whats the use of qualifying ….and when drawn in a tought pool come out and say…or this team is going over to learn…qualifying for the final….that is the world cup….is not the stage for experimenting…and learning..from scatch its a time to delivery what you have learnt from during qualifications and getting to the world cup….The World Cup Final is the the Biggest Stage to show output.
2014 World Cup Draw: Full results, groups, analysis
In Pool B, i envisage, Netherlands and chile will decide who qualifys as runners up. Now this is where Socceroos come in. They from other teams perspective would be the punching bag for both Netherlands and Chile to decide the goal difference…..
2014 World Cup Draw: Full results, groups, analysis
Mate, I watched the draw live, FIFA has no hand in how Australia was dawn. I guess the socceroos can say their fate was decided on the luck of the draw.

What is the biggest prize in rugby league?
Belgiums success depends on how the pool they are in and how much is sucked out during pool play, skills, age are on their side, however, experience is lacking on the highest levels and during crunch time that could be the telling factor.
Belgium: a dark horse for FIFA World Cup 2014?
Dear greg cross…..where did you get the idea that all these countries are playiong test matches, consistently its only the big teams, the smaller ones play internationally only during the world cup….now thats a sad story.

to make football number one , FFA needs to work the aussie media, who in some sections are hell bend on making soccer a mock sport. Media is crucial and the perception. Also FFA should organise more international games against big teams, so that fans can get connected, imagine, Messi came down with argentina, that would boast fans here and increase fan numbers for the sports, whilst the local soccer needs to continue, international matches need to be organised for he fans to be connected with the rest of the world and enjoy the first hand top teams.
Can football become number one?
Craig is wong, Gallas is class. If you asked me to name one defender who had an eye for goal its gallas…..he was always in the right spots to nick a goal either it was arsenal or spurs….having watched him at arsenal, he is a good player and will score goals as well thats for sure.
Gallas wants to make A-League impression
This is going to be the biggest test match for en of year rugby following what happened in south africa, as all balcs hoisltered the cups there. England be prepared for All Blacks revenge!! after what happened last year. The english are so cunning, they will put all their effort to beat all blacks and try and claim the best team title and bath in its glory in just one game….
All Blacks warn English copycats
i agree with the article, calling it the world cup, its not correct. Those that watch the NRL know most of these players. Those players that cant make it to the aussie team end up playing for countries where they can link up some family tree, as simple as that. Take the example of Fiji. Jerrad H, is an example of playing for Fiji when dumped by Aussies, then when recalled by Aussies dumped Fiji, what and how do you explain this. Also look at Petero C, played for aussies in his prime and now wen and old cow, he comes to Fiji, so there is no fair ground for smaller teams to develop, if bigger teams keep plucking the best for themselves. This World CUp is all about making aussie team look better and smaller teams are there to add numbers…
What is needed is some policy to bring about equality, and stablility for small er teams so that they can play on a level playing field when compared to bigger teams

They have to be commended for their effort. However, living in a realistic world ad romance aside, they are pretenders and you have to be joking for them to be contenders, they lack, depth, money, big time players to set up when it gets harder….
