I think your point is quite valid, but even then I highly doubt Souths/Roosters will let through a 20k stadium being their new home stadium regardless. Like Souths already averages 15-16k per game already in Accor. The other thing to contend with too is hosting major tournaments like a World Cup often has minimum seating requirements, or instances, where games have to be relocated from venues like Accor, for major tournaments (FIFA, maybe World Rugby, have pretty strict rules on vacating the stadium prior to their tournaments).

As for the big grounds, it’s just not cohesive. What is the new SFS’s purpose? It’s too small to compete with Homebush for the big events but oversized for club games. They’ll fill it on ANZAC day I suppose but that’s about it.
Don’t really understand your point there. The new SFS has pretty much the same capacity as the old SFS. In saying that, I understand that there are many Tahs, Sydney FC games that can be moved around the suburban grounds.

I must say I don’t share the same confidence with you on Sabalenka – testing positive for COVID interrupted the end of last season and she looked very out of sorts in her opening matches of the season. In particular, serving 18 and 21 double faults in her two matches so far is shockingly bad.
