Not only the Jags gets few favors. Pumas in TRC have had very, very bad refereeing

Agree with you NV

Seven talking points from Super Rugby Round 18

“I am sure we will have some chaos soon”… i can´t agree with you now. It is so pesimistic. On the contrary Argies are very proud of their character, of their optimism, and becomen real life-warriors when it comes up to deal with difficulties.

The Wrap: Only one Australian finalist a poor Super Rugby return

I didn´t mean it like that. I also think that a scheme URBA- non URBA would eventually go wrong. I am talking about a 2nd franchise that can pick from the same pool of players, without distinction of origin. The only thing is that de 2nd team should be based in a non URBA area, because the opposite implies a 2nd team also from BA.
It would work as follows: each franchise can pick whoever they choose, URBA or non-URBA player, given that is an argie, or elegible for Pumas. Each team should also sign a small number of the likes of uruguayans and brazilians, in very specific roles to complete the roster, and to help develop the sport in that part of the world.
I think from 2020 a new pro competition should be runnning in south america. This would, in time, help the argies get the depth that is needed

I’m a roar rookie now! Been reading the roar for sometime now, so i decided to sign in.
Here’s a question: does any side havs a realistic chance against the Saders this season? Can any team stop them in their claim to third consecutive crown?

Agree. Argentina xv is not ready yet, but take notice that they had a winning stride this year -up until they faced the bears yesterday, in a very, very unlucky game. But they comfortably beat RWC sides in 2019: USA, Namibia, Uruguay. Let me remind you that the USA side survived the Scots during november window last year.
The involvement in Currie Cup will be a boost for them. I sincerely hope they can put up a 2nd franchise in 2022-2023!
But there is another issue, besides talent and money: travel distances. Being the Jags based in BA, the second team should be based in cities like Cordoba, Tucuman or Rosario, adding more miles to the schedule. Cordoba is 700km or so north of BA, while Tucuman is near 1250km. Rosario is closer to BA [about 200km], but the fligths connections are poorer.

once again someone complaining about the jags being a national team. How many caps were in front of the jags in recent games? how many caps jags had in those same games? did you notice how many young and unexperienced players play in each jags game?

The thing in not about the jags being a test side, just because it has always been that. Tide is turning in favor for them, and that seems to make some fans anxious and perhaps a little fearful. I haven´t read this kind of comments in NZ nor SA sites.
Aussies seems to be the only nervous fans about the jags
