You are kidding me. Your take on Cummins is based on the skewed opinions of the Sky after dark cabal. Are you really pretending that stating the obvious that the next generations will suffer from climate change makes Cummins unsuitable to captain the Australian cricket team. Dividing people into woke and sensible is a false dichotomy. Perhaps you should read some climate science. Full disclosure. I am 62 on Monday and played first grade cricket in Sydney in the early 80s when the old values prevailed.
Did Pat Cummins and his millennial 'spoilt brats' cancel Justin Langer?
Chappell is a worse commentator than Root is a captain.

Yes. He was thoughtful and articulate.
Chappell rips in to 'soccer captain' Root, says England should make Stokes skipper
It used to be that you could watch the TV and listen to the ABC. But now the risk of having to listen to the doddering narcissist Ian Chappell is just too great. Yesterday there was an interesting question ‘when did two South Australians last bat together in a test’ a simple question of fact (Hookes and Phillips 34 years ago). Chappell repeatedly reframed the question ‘real South Australians’, ‘SouthAustralians who scored runs’, ‘South Australians who scored centuries’, ‘South Australians who scored centuries in each innings’, ‘South Australians who faced read bowling’…The answer was always ‘Ian and Greg’. It was tedious, disrespectful and unnecessary. I met him 40 odd years ago when I was a cleaner at channel 9. He was rude then and remains most unpleasant.

Pity referees don’t insist on on halves feeding straight down the middle. If scrums are no longer about restarting but about milking penalties the feed should also be policed.
The straight story: How scrum trumped lineout in the Super Rugby AU final
I would like to see a change to how scrums are rewarded. If a team wins a scrum it has the ball and should play it. If the losing scrum is forced backwards, so is the defensive line. That is a big reward for effort and should be enough. There should be no penalty against a scrum that gets pushed back or splintered.
Second, scrums would work better and be more stable if the ball was fed straight into the middle and both hookers struck for it. Award a free kick against a half back who feeds crookedly.

Manuka is only about 3m smaller all round than the mcg.
David Warner isn't replaceable, so no wonder India are happy
I think Phipps was an excellent rugby player. However, he was not good in the primary skill of the half-back which is the accurate bulletin pass, see Aaron Smith. He was terrific when he came on as a winger. I suspect he would have been less criticised had he played in a different position.
Why do certain Wallabies keep getting picked?
I very much want the brumbies to win on Saturday but have a bad feeling about it. On the positive side, two very good Australian teams and some great players like Tupou make the coming internationals very interesting. I don’t think Rennie will bring home the Bledisloe this year but I’m sure his team will make progress towards that elusive goal. I’m very happy to have a new coach.
