The pies sure could do with some fresh faces and perspectives.

Shaw officially parts ways with North Melbourne

Agreed. If he is itching to be out there as much as the media is pumping it up, he’ll demand to be starting at every centre bounce.

Martin versus Dangerfield may decide the flag

Thanks Marty. These two guys are champs because they really hunt the ball, you can see it in their faces. Along with a few others like Fyfe, Franklin, Ablett and I think young Rowell, they don’t just rest on their natural talents, they are hunters and this is why they consistently influence games.

Martin versus Dangerfield may decide the flag

I’ve be tipping the tigers to take the cup almost all year. However, the way the cats have played the last two weeks has been really impressive. If both teams turn up then flip a coin.
Norm Smith: if cats win – Danger, if tigers win – Houli.

2020 AFL grand final: The ultimate preview

Would have to agree with most there Jimmy. I would add;
Good – the suns genuinely starting to shine. Future is bright.
Bad – As frustrating as holding the ball decisions is the amount the ball is thrown. I can see a throw on my 40″ TV, how does it get missed so often by the umps.
Ugly – This year’s trade period looks to be turning out to be. And WTF free agency…

The good, bad and ugly of AFL 2020

Some crazy talk going on. Are they looking to contend next year or are they looking to rebuild.
PTS, you seem to be a man in the know, what’s the word with Paddy McCartin?

Collingwood Magpies 2020 season review

Going to be a cracking game, can not wait!

Raiders and Storm to be decided by epic battle of the forwards

Well written Dem. A couple of new perspectives, not just another rehash of old material. I liked the left field trade targets too and I agree they should not be going for Cameron. Magpies midfield is where they are losing it in my opinion. I also think they need new midfield and forward coaches. Too often a ball comes into their F50 into space only to be intercepted. They fwds need to learn where to be when the ball is coming from any spot on the ground, too often they loiter in the goal square. Not all doom and gloom, will be better with some home games next year.

Breaking down the Magpies in 2020

Good analysis Sam. I’ve been thinking the Power have under performed the last few years but now suspect they have been building. The Power and Lions have an opportunity this year due to covid that they will likely never get again and should be able to snatch a cup a year or two early. It would be a turn up if two Melbourne teams made the GF, though my feeling is the Lions and Power will do enough to make it.

Ken Hinkley and his Port Adelaide reboot

You forgot to mention Pangai out there trying to kill someone costing penalties with cheap shots and jack bird playing his one game a year and then having the gall to take up the extra year option as part of his contract.

NRL rule tweaks here to stay as Broncos pick up deserved spoon

I think the winner of the likely Cameron v Maynard battle will have a bigger say on the game then the Andrews v Cox battle. Magpies don’t need Cox to win (which he won’t) but the lions sure do need Cameron to have a good night.

Brisbane vs Collingwood: Friday night forecast

Agree with all points. Metricon is looking very drab, I’m sure the Southport Sharks would love to host a game or two.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Rounds 15 and 16

Fair observation Paul. I’ll hold my judgement until the end of the second year.

Can Justin Holbrook be the next Trent Robinson?

Nice words, cheers.
