Did anyone watch much of Pope’s innings? There’s a bit of a question over his batting in that he swaps hands on the bat effectively becoming a right handed when he’s a left handed or vice versa? I didn’t see it so I don’t know. Reverse sweeps are fine but changing your batting orientation once the bowler begins his run up is not cool. It maybe just the usual media hype.

Bazball 1-0 in India! Hartley takes seven on debut as England produce 'greatest triumph' under Stokes in epic comeback

I’ve taken a screenshot of that. 😂

Shamar's a superstar: Windies rookie destroys Australia with all-time great spell to break 27-year drought in cliffhanger

Don’t bring sound reasoning into it Tom! Let’s just persist with out there thought bubbles! 😊 👍

Can't beat the Heat! Neser's relay catch stunner sums up brilliant Brisbane's second BBL title as Sixers smashed

Some of his concussions were from AFL.

Head in doubt but Khawaja cleared for Windies Test as Pucovski gets good news after being struck by bouncer

Don’t let him near a golf cart.

Glenn Maxwell reportedly hospitalised after 'big night out', CA investigating

Ryan Harris has stated that he he didn’t make the necessary sacrifices to make the most of his career when younger, I usually take that to mean he enjoyed the celebrating and the circuit with the boys too much. Apparently Peter Siddle was also a bit too fond of the drink and is now teetotal. Both were a terrific bowlers.

Gotta love the Puc, but he has to work on his short ball technique. 😔

Chris Gayle?

'Will iron themselves out': McDonald expects improvement from batters, discusses T20 'creep' into Test schedules

With less and less test cricket played and as the incumbents value playing tests so highly it’s a situation which is only likely to get worse. But surely we should allow these “shadow” players, both batters and bowlers to play some competitive cricket rather than just be drinks waiters or net bowlers. I’d love to see Morris debut (even as a New South Welshman) but barring injury realistically it’s not going to happen. And I suspect he’d prefer to be playing rather than just watching others have a crack.

The invisible pacemen: Wild Thing beware - a generation of fast bowlers denied Test caps by record-breaking trio

A good read DaveJ thanks! 👍 (Hadlee has always been a favourite of mine) (Starting to feel the love for Kallis as well)

Doing it tough: Are modern cricketers really tasked with heavy workloads?

It’s a common complaint on here that the selectors favour NSW players, well it seems that they are now following the lead of the NSW State of Origin selectors by selecting the best players, jamming them into the team, whilst completely forgetting that they might have to play roles they are not suitable for.

The two factors that’ll decide whether Smith’s opening gambit is a surprising success or ill-conceived failure

With Labu, Khawaja and Smith in front of Green there’ll be no reviews left by the time he gets in.

'Best six batters in the country': Smith will open and Green returns as Bailey denies Bancroft rift over Sandpaper saga

It’d be fun reading though!

Every Australian Test opener option, ranked: Why sending Smith up is a recipe for disaster

Where upon being asked by Hockley if he had any new information to give he replied no. And when they announce the team next week if he doesn’t get in people will say whatever reasons are put forward (Renshaw is younger, Harris has been the spare, Green is worth a try, Smith needs a challenge, blah, blah, blah) all the conspiracy theorists will say it’s because the bowling cartel won’t have him in the team. Despite having Smith and Warner in the team since the’re ban’s expired.

Grit happens: Bancroft denies tension with fast bowlers over Sandpapergate residue - 'it wouldn't be an issue'

I personally would like to see Bancroft get the gig. Shield runs should count. For all the people saying the cartel are keeping him out of the team keep in mind he played 2 tests on the 2019 ashes tour post sandpapergate.

And advocated for Green as a future captain. We’ve only just got over the paradigm shift to a bowling captain and now we’re going down the path of someone with a finger in all the pies! 😊

Test Mortem: Smith to opener an act of convenience, team shows signs of fatigue, Pakistan selectors' costly blunder

Surely this is short term thinking? Smith turning 35 this year? As noted elsewhere that he isn’t even sure how long he wants to continue in tests. And what happens if it doesn’t work out? Does he get his no4 spot back at the expense of somebody else?

'Happy to go up the top': Smith's surprise call on Warner replacement suggestion, opening Green door for recall

Not enough play in Sydney, too much play in Cape Town! 😁

Death, taxes and foul weather spoiling SCG Test: Umpires blasted over bad light call as Warner fails to fire for farewell

Whatever your opinion of Warner, this is utter sh/t. 😡

'You won't get into trouble': Warner pleads for return of stolen baggy green cap before final Test

Quinton de Kock will be in the front bar of the Bondi Icebergs and it’ll be a Resch’s thanks Dave.

'I’ll have a beer with you': Warner invites haters to change their minds as he pulls pin on ODI career

I worked out that even taking the extra 30 minutes they still hadn’t completed the expected 90 overs in the day. It was near 3 hours for the final session. If in the switch to 4 day tests if they don’t increase the amount of overs to be bowled on a day (longer sessions?) then this game would have ended in a draw.

Every Aussie rated from second Test vs Pakistan: Captain Fantastic! Cummins' perfect game, Carey defies critics

It’s only the no idea fool’s who’d argue against it.

The moral victors.

'Technology curse': Pakistan director slams 'inconsistent' umpiring after contentious DRS call cruels hopes of famous win

A terrific test, Australia deserved the win but VERY well played Pakistan. 👍

'Technology curse': Pakistan director slams 'inconsistent' umpiring after contentious DRS call cruels hopes of famous win

So if JB defected to Australia you wouldn’t have him as first pick keeper?

I am shocked BG! 😱 ( 😊 )

Worth keeping around: No way Carey’s spot should be in jeopardy despite recent lack of runs
