Those 27 games for Clermont by Amatosero – were they games he was also “eased into”? I don’t know much about French rugby but is it a step down such that he can’t hit the ground running in SR? Or is he just not showing the form yet or “not training well” I wonder?

I don’t recall ever seeing Suli in space -whether being put there or finding it himself. I recall him intercepting for a try a couple of years ago where he cantered to the try zone – just – but don’t actually know whether he’s got any gas? He tends to favor picking the ball off the bottom of rucks on the blind side and he takes the odd high ball still OK?

Hopefully the Rebels’ S+C coaches (and I say this for all Aussie sides) have managed to decode the mystery of “protecting the calf muscle”. That and “how to prevent syndesmosis”. Two injuries we seem to be good at.

I certainly don’t buy into the “Cheiks doing well with Argentina = Cheiks the right next coach for Wallabies”. Aside from whether he’d even want the gig, there’s something apparent about his coaching style and philosophy really gelling with the Argentinians in a way that wouldn’t/doesn’t apply in Aus.
