Stick or twist?: Ex-players call for Noah's removal as Wallabies weigh up No.10 options

Peter, reckon he’ll get plenty of good, hard and flat passes from the bloke inside him this week.

Don’t panic Dave, reasonable Wallabies fans can see what you are trying to do

Looks like DR will finally see the light on Noah. It’ll be good for the kid, long term.

Springboks stars return for Wallabies clash in TRC but Kolbe misses out

Good that they rolled out our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lad in Andy Muirhead. AND he called it what it is. Refreshing to me. Jersey looks great and a permanent acknowledgment of our indigenous culture.

'Incredibly special': Wallabies jersey gets new twist with permanent First Nations design

Drop Noah out of the 23. Hodge to 15.

Yes, a lot of changes and our backline still is nowhere satisfactory or even close. You MAY not realise but there is one common denominator – Noah !

Mate. I purely meant those blokes (9, 10, 12 and 15) are the blokes that kick the pill.

Why the Wallabies are losing the power plays against New Zealand

The fault rests solely on some backs. As stated, 9, 10, 12 and 15. At least 2 of them (10 and 15) should be replaced.

No problem with Samu running. He has always been excellant at bending the line (or breaking it). His defence has always been a bit dicky. Think he could be world class, if he makes better decisions of when to pass and when to run.

True JD. But geez, its a huge step up to Test Rugby and to MY mind, he hasn’t been able to do it (for a variety of reasons).

Rhys, thanks for the read. I disagree with you that Noah has X factor. To me, he’s a kid who isn’t improving as one would expect with the number of starts he has had. Would like to see some other young 10’s brought into the group. Kerevi did what Kerevi does – run hard – but he kills anyone outside of him. Think he only passed the ball about 4 times. At least his ball security has improved. Personally DR seems to be OK but some on-going selections baffle me a bit. Noah, Banks, Paisami and Swain are my concerns. Hopefully young Harry Wilsoncgets a shot this week, along with Mr Fix It, at 15.
Thanks again!

The young blokes are living the dream. Being away from home – please give me a break ! Understand that some of the older guys with some “tin lids” would be missing them immensely. However, the zoom calls or whatever make it a lot easier.

Great news. Bit oldish but great scrummager. Won’t do much around the field but neither does Taniela (last 3 games anyway). Obviously Pone gets a shot before Holmes, but you just never know. It’s always a risk throwing on a debut prop, especially against the Boks.

Back to the future as Greg Holmes makes shock return to the Wallaby camp

He’ll get that opportunity in a couple of weeks

Doc, a couple of those lads should be in the squad. For experience and to put pressure on NL

Ken, its an interesting point. How can a player who can be so dominant become quite passive in recent games. Personally, I think Taniela is off the pace psychologically. He’s played huge minutes in Super and may be not in the right head space. Also possible is that he may be disappointed in that his “battle” wirh Alan to be the preferred THP has taken it’s toll. His physical prowess is unchanged. In the interest of the lad, I think he needs some time off or some sort of support. Don’t profess to be an authority but commonsense approach ( for me).

Taniela doesn’t run or tackle anymore. AAA holds his spot clearly, until TT decides to play footy.

Peter, obviously JOC is a short term fix at 10. Personally I’d have given QC a crack in Bled 3. Do you see any real possibles stepping up at 10. The cupboard looks pretty bare.

The experiment with Noah must be over. He has several games to his name and has not improved. JOC will be better than Noah, but he is still not an international 10 if any standing. Banks surely has been given his last shot. Thought Kerevi was pretty good overall.

Phantom, obviously you watch the game in the Skull cave wirh Devil and the Wambesi at your side. Turn on the candles mate 😊

'We have to protect the game': Barrett's controversial red for face kick splits fans

Still. Great article in my view and agree totally. Rodda is being “eased” into the starting role. Noah just hasn’t improved (as I expected). Same with Tom Banks. DR, and most seem to be happy with Korobete, Kellaway, Len I, Valetini, Hoops, Phillip, AAA and Slipper. And maybe Kerevi. The “head scratchers” must be at 9 (Tate v White), 10 (Noah v JOC – should be a certain), 15 (Banks v Hodge), 2 (real problem), 12 (Paisami, Samu, Toomua). Rennie cannot be happy with our main attacking bench weapon, Taniela, in last 2 games – poor all round and maybe Pone should get a crack. Hopefully Petaia goes well and realises his potential ( could be great at 15 but who would really know). Anyway, great discussion points Still. Thanks.

Is Dave Rennie being too conservative?

The very low numbers of comments towards the subject of this article Prob ably reflects the real interest of Aussie fans towards these teams. Shame really!

David, get a grip. Just because I have a different opinion on some players doesn’t mean I don’t support the team !

Wallabies make the call on Quade Cooper, Rodda and Kerevi return, as Bledisloe team is named

David, I like all rugby players, even wingers. But I value the play and performances of some, over others. Don’t we all have opinions. Obviously I touched a nerve re one of those players.
