The bunker looks to be here to stay so why not seriously redefine its purpose. My idea is to remove the unnecessary pressure for the referees to be unnaturally perfect by taking ALL scoring incidents/occurrences and making them the total domain of the Bunker. Referees have enough to deal with without all the second-guessing commentary that delights nobody but bogans.
Someone gets the ball over the line – Bunker decides. Field goal – Bunker decides. Conversions – bunker decides. Everything else is the job of the referee.

If I was Qld coach (stop sniggering), I would consider that NSW has hit on a winning combination of players and sacrifice the Origin series for this year to make different selections of younger, more aspiring talent for the 2018 series. In short – ditch the oldies and bring up the young guns. Look to next year, not next game.
