You didn’t even bother to look into the Derby mess?

of the ‘Billionaires’ Top 50 in Australia, most are too ‘Dinky-Di’ to understand the round ball game.
i believe the Lang Walker had a stake in Macarthur, but in all honesty the only right ownership is foreign and with the mindset of pride or development, not a quick buck.

You can blame supporter groups for problems all you want. please though make sure the facts are correct.
i don’t condone what happened with Glover/Victory fans, but Glover is a professional athlete…there are security that who’s sole job is to take care of flares
the RBB…the one constant throughout the years of WSW, good and bad. have you ever been to a WSW game at either Commbank, Pirtek, the showground and even campbeltown (do the wanderers still hold season attendance records for that ground as well (tongue in cheek). if yes, you would of seen the over-policing of that said group. You do know that even still i believe players were/are recruited on the scenes from years past. Stop blaming the RBB for standing up and doing what’s right, standing up for themselves.

being a pacifist? do you have anything against Gandhi for his Protests.?

A-League report card: Frustrated fans, crap scheduling, Socceroo mystery men and wasted money, but the brand is strong

No Man hits a Woman!
The Police were probably upset they weren’t allowed to march and maybe took it out on Outspoken People.
I only sat with the RBB on away games, and always had an unbelievable night out.
There are two sides to every story, jumping to conclusions before knowing all the facts only leads to misrepresentation of groups of people or an individual.
Being a Pacifist is all well and good…but if in a corner, Fight or Flight?

Violence is not 'passion': Wanderers fans chuck a wobbly again... why is it always them?

VAR isn’t perfect…especially in the Country which trialed it for FIFA
me personally…it sucks the life out of a game
with the Wanderer’s, bad run of decisions… it happens. But it is easier to accept a bad decision, when you’re not shown replays at slow-motion. Football isn’t a Video Referee Game. Hendrix’ Red, fair enough…why can’t the Side-Line and Match official see those. The Brook Tackle was a hundred times worse by the young Newcastle defender.
Anyways, that’s my BMW

Perth getting Ownership, great news…Lets hope one can be found for Newcastle soon Too.

To finish, a bit of a dig at the Wanderers…i’m not a Coach or anything
When a Player is Red Carded. Game-plans have to change…The Wanderers `have used the Width of the Pitch to great effect this season. But with a man down, unless the person on the Ball can beat a player than pass, playing wide rarely works?
The Good news is, in a few weeks we will be full strength again.

Bruno-less Victory fire blanks, Pelligra Group hope to restore Glory days, was Rudan ban appropriate?

as a Liverpool supporter,
In Klopp we Trust
is it sad, YES…is it fair, YES
many years of just not good enough for LFC…
If you watch his first Press Conference, he stated what he wanted to do…then did it
some people criticise the timing…i think the Players will want to do as much as they can now to mark his Time on the Merseyside

'Running out of energy': Klopp to quit Liverpool at end of season as star duo emerge as frontrunners to replace him

I said a long time ago…why do Professional Sporting Team Owner(s) feel they need to make a profit?

I was talking with a friend a while ago… a successful businessman from a small town in England i believe, who as a youth and young man spent his weekends on the terraces of his favorite football team. Once he got a bit of money behind him, he decided to buy that team. i don’t believe the team has done anything special or jumped leagues in the process.. my point is, it was for the Love.

I’m all for seeing Football become the biggest sport in the Country, and it can. Without Leagues Clubs behind Teams helping subsidise costs for an Ownership, believing that short-term deals can hide the cracks is simply delaying the inevitable?
Thankfully teams have taken notice of the past Competition Winners and sustainable ways to run a team. Central Coast, Adelaide and even ‘Citay’, all have believed in youth. The biggest prize is winning an Asian Champions League and still that doesn’t cover the cost of running a Club.
As much as i hate that stadium the Wanderers play at…Lederer and Wanderers i believe have no costs for the Juniors they develop…and it hurts to see talent leave, but that is the business model that suits Australian Football at this time.

There have been articles here and there blaming him, blaming them…and that needs to stop. Certain Journalists need to stop inserting wedges… the ‘terrorgraph’ was notorious for it years ago, now it seems the Herald has taken on that agenda?
Competition Growth is happening. Two new teams and a second division are all on the horizon, i hope it’s the dawning of a new era…and success follows.

Right Now…the product is really Great. Help Us help You make it Special

Townsend and APL at the heart of Australian football's latest self-sabotage

The Round can work, but a lot of thought of getting fans there must happen. not only the APL, also the Club’s and Active Support Groups.
It’s been 2.5 seasons (maybe 3) since i last went to a game…are there any TIFOs anymore, like the Ono 21st minute choreography or The Asian Champions League Banner…anyways
I know the Wanderers had a 5 on 5 comp going this year. This would require each club to run a tourney too. What if the winners of each club’s tournament played too, with the final on the Sunday?
There are ways to get fans interested, it requires more than just…i don’t know
maybe buses for those diehard fans and some sort of cheap accomodation

Is the A-Leagues' Unite Round worth persisting with next season?

Ninkovic, who better to close out a game. I believe also a big reason he joined the Wanderers was a coaching role once done.
Badolato is sensational, that ball for Pierias and the latter’s run…superb
Milanovic’ confidence grows every game
Great all-round team performance

Everyone bagged Kresinger too…but he scored one the most important goals in that season

The kids are alright: Wanderers' big win over City represents a shift in A-League dynamics

I wouldn’t call it lack of ambition, he wants to finish the job maybe?
Once Popovic won the Asian Champions League, Premiers Plate and made two Grand Finals in the space of 3 years…a supposed handshake deal was always in place…he did what he thought was right for him, his family and his career.
for the next 8-9 years, they under-achieved…not saying they didn’t try…the magic was dying though.
Rudan came in with a reputation of similar substance, that he could put competitive teams together. Results have always been positive in his time at WSW? He would now have things he probably wouldn’t of in the past at other clubs…the backing of the owner(s) as well.
Why not put A-league silverware on your resume?

Rudan aims for key player extensions as Wanderers boss signs up for three more years

Me too, well said Grem.

That’s what Australia is at the moment, a development league and this should of been realised a while ago. Even with Popa here, sure the team’s first 11 was mostly experienced, the youth did get their cameos. Other Coaches just couldn’t find the right mix, usually because of an inherited squad.
Rudan has put together a team of players that consist of experience, youth and most of all…players that possess both, but are hungry to prove their doubters wrong

Well done Marko, you’re doing a Great Job

Rudan aims for key player extensions as Wanderers boss signs up for three more years

Marcelo is the reason at this time…he is playing out of his skin, and controls the backline like he should
Simmons and Tate are better up and down the line
Cleur will play. i believe as a CB though. i imagine him being able to throw long balls, he has a good boot on him

Welcome back, Western Sydney Wanderers - the A-League has missed you

i doubt it Chris,
a lot of our academy player’s did go there
many Wanderers fans got sick of over-policing at games, lack of respect and inability of people running the game understanding the successful elements of the Wanderers. Once upon a time making them a must see. it was mentioned in the article, how the atmosphere of the RBB contributes to Wanderland (and always has).
Personally i can remember one of Scott Jamison’s first games there..him pumping up the crowd, i believe in awe. Bridge, love him to death…at other teams, he would saunter back after an attack…he would sprint back as hard as he could in the red and black.
i miss those day’s out, i really do…

Welcome back, Western Sydney Wanderers - the A-League has missed you

Haliti in the 81st minute

Welcome back, Western Sydney Wanderers - the A-League has missed you

Well, Football is back
other codes trashing the Sport…is what it is
I was thinking of adding fuel, but there’s no point
in truth, i played both Union and League at a good level…but, the most fun i had was with Football

Saying that Football Fans are nothing but Thugs is wrong…Thomas is a professional athlete, he knows he did the wrong thing…there was a good article about an Adelaide fan in Western Sydney, who had a few problems on his night out. The RBB heard what happened, Lets just say, he was well looked after and said the support and treatment from ‘Those Thugs’ made the trip a memorable one.

I hope it’s a good Season for all, with some really exciting games

The A-League's 'family-friendly' kick-off times are keeping fans away

As a Wanderers Fan and former Foundation Member…i Hate that Stadium
Maybe when the Powers that be…put something up to block out that Sun
Yes, some good People have explained why the stadium was built like that…and i understand.
But it is still against everything that club was formed on and brought people together

Old Parra Stadium was the best…just because it was old and only fit 23,000 fans. That place shook Western Sydney every Home Game…ALeague and Champions League

call me a band-waggoner, whatever…those 3000 fans there are still louder and more passionate than any other a-league (except big blue, possibly) game i watched

The A-League's 'family-friendly' kick-off times are keeping fans away

cheers Garry,
but who knows…
I do miss the Day’s out… i will always bleed red and black, just from afar these days
Good Luck to All teams in the Finals, lets hope Buses and some type of accommodation ca be arranged

The A-League is set for a thrilling climax, but will fans turn up for the finals?

The really is no point..here, when you say WSW fan…nobody east of Strathfield cares
i too was a Foundation Member, where people from many backgrounds came together to support a team
CommBank Stadium goes against everything the Club was founded on. The Western Grandstand is now totally Corporate, The Eastern Stand is where the real fans were corralled? Being a Foundation Member i had really good seats 30-40m Line close to the RBB. New Stadium=equaled nose bleed seats top right corner. The Original Fans were no longer deemed necessary? As much as i still enjoy watching the games on TEN and PARAMOUNT, i can’t justify giving more money to a team, that really didn’t care about it’s fans
Someone made a point about attracting new fans…maybe, but the club still shows old footage of the atmosphere to lure Players here
sorry Western Sydney Players and Staff…i can’t do it

The A-League is set for a thrilling climax, but will fans turn up for the finals?

i’ve always loathed Ange…but to deny the success he has had would leave me open to people saying my head is in the sand.
The big test will come if he makes to one of the big 4 leagues. If he did happen to land in say Italy, his recruitment ability will be tested as i’ve heard many clubs there in quite a bit of a financial mess. England or Spain, big pressure comes with those gigs. I honestly believe 2-3 years in Germany would suit best…but if any of those jobs are offered, how could you begrudge him?
His success can only mean good things for Australian Football…. good luck Ange

Ange Postecoglou is Australia's best ever coach
