Victory have been more consistent over the season than the hot and cold city side. Therefore victory 2-0

Bulls are the side in the final I can stand the most. So Bulls 3-1

WUN 2 – ADE 1

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 24 - Sydney Derby takes centre stage and urgency for finals hopefuls

If you look at all the attacking stats we are basically in the 5-7 area in all of them. You add in 6 from 20 for an 18 year old and you calling that a mess. You’d lose a dressing room/player pretty quick with that chat.

Could we be more clinical/better obviously. However every week your negative about our attack when the issues have clearly been a lack of legs/physicality in midfield to partners O’Shea and our back 4. (Outside the in the head coach issues)

Western United's football-specific facility is a milestone worth celebrating

FYI Lescano wasn’t signed Mid season.

I agree however with your overall point with the roar recruitment over the year on a couple of those players. However I personally think a foreign striker was and should be low on the priority list. We have much bigger issues in midfield and defence than a centre forward.

Western United's football-specific facility is a milestone worth celebrating

All of them are “experienced” foreign striker as you have repeatedly stated we should sign.

Western United's football-specific facility is a milestone worth celebrating

Not sure that the 3 his talking about Waz.

Scepovic, Lescano, Kudo, Amadi-Holloway & O’Donovan all were signed after taggart and maclaren.

Western United's football-specific facility is a milestone worth celebrating

Which coach would that be? ????

Bin – lofthouse, brown, parsons, majok, Acton
Must sign – hore, MacNicol, jelacic, waddingham, brownlie
Could make a case the rest as well as not particular care if we didn’t sign them.

Would like to see a bit of nikolovski with the last couple of games to make a judgment.

I would also bin hingert but probably an unpopular opinion within the roar fan base

Irankunda's brilliance, Sydney suffocate Mariners, 'blackout' prevented as NEP save the day

You guy have also never been 1st at the end of the season. I guess sometimes records are broken.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 21

WUN 0 V MVC 2 – Both sides with wins last week and while western have picked up some form lately. Victory need to win these games if they want to do some damage and they have too good a team on paper not to this weekend.
NEW 1 V ADL 1 – preview to an Australian Cup playoff maybe. Both sides are probably out of finals running and toss of the coin either way thus draw.
WEL 0 V SYD 2 – If I had to tip who will be in the GF I’d go CCM and Syd. While CCM are the real champions (eg 1st). As much as the Nix have done well, I am still not sold on their trophy credentials. If they do get the chocolates however it could go along way to them believing they can wrapping up at least 1 of the 2 trophies on offer.
BRI 2 V MAC 1 – It’s time to put a little run together for the roar or you can start planning your bail holiday.
PER 3 V WSW 0 – Rudan looks to have lost the dressing room and I would expect him to gone by the end of the season.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 21

Couple of reasons – NZ is a different country to Australia in a different conference and therefore unless they want to become the 7th state of Australia they can play in their own league. Furthermore if we are going to have them in our league, the fact they playing in the Australian cup is a joke.

However more importantly my mate I play golf with every weekend is from NZ and it’s getting really annoying having to listen about how good the nix are every Saturday morning.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 20

WSW 1 WUN 1 – You would think you see a reaction from WSW and depending on other results could put one leg in the finals with a win on Friday and Tuesday. However western have had an uptick lately and so let’s go draw.
WEL 2 MCY 1- in pains me to see Phoenix going well but it’s a delight to watch Oil Fc struggle. Nix will be too strong and Vidmar will be lining up at Centrelink
Shortly.
ADE 0 MVC 1 – just the team Victory need to play to kick start a run to the finals. Victory will do enough just and their poor momentum will be halted.
PER 3 NEW 2 – For other team to have a chance they need 3 pts this week. If not start planning your trips to Darwin for the Australian cup playoffs.
SYD 2 BRI 4 – depending on other results this is must win for brisbane. But I do feel we are better playing against sides that don’t sit in a deep block. If Sydney press high as they have done recently this will be a high scorer and freke will need to play a blinder.
MAC 2 CCM 0 – AFC cup revenge for the bulls while CCM might be struggling physically after tonight’s match and international travel coming up. Bulls to run over the mariners late on.
MCY 3 WSW 3 – in good aliga fashion this will be played in front of three people and a flock of seagulls. While also being the most crazy game of the round. 3 reds card 6 goals late min winners that get cancelled out. Just standard midweek aleague action.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 20

I’d be very surprised if we were able to pull off permanently signing Jelacic for a number of reasons (more so the player and his parent club).

However it should be a clear example of the type of player we should be looking to sign before next season. Need more creative players on the field/squad then in the recent times.

How do A-League fans convince police that passion is not a crime?

From memory we have had 2 games without rain. Sydney at home in January and got over 10k and Perth on a hot Sunday at 2 in November and just short of 10k

No surprises that our two biggest attendances came on those days

The A-League is enjoying a purple patch and we're all the beneficiaries

This is such a weird take that I have since over and over again.

Why would the majority want to watch a glorified NPL VIC/NSW.

South Melbourne played knights in the first rd on the weekend and it wasn’t a large crowd.

The NSD will be a welcome addition but anyone thinking it will overtake the aleague is delusional.

Rudan tight-lipped after controversial draw, Roar's revenge, Victory streak ends at 15

Right fair enough. Personally don’t see it but hope villa and Joe prove me wrong.

Joe you good thing: The rise of Australia’s next Premier League goalkeeper

Out of curiosity when you suggest that his shown improvement over the last couple years in those. How do you make those assumptions.

Joe you good thing: The rise of Australia’s next Premier League goalkeeper

Not sure what that has to do with my comment. As I said I’d be worried if he was my number 2 not my number 1 at EPL /European level.

As I said good luck to him, personally I don’t see the hype although I don’t watch Adelaide every week but from what it’s worth as an old washed up keeper. His distribution and command of the box seem a weakness (maybe putting on a bit of weight will help as you have mentioned)

He concedes too many soft goals in my opinion but is also able to produce some worldies at the same time. Seems to be as a goal keeper coach of mine used to say a reactive keeper and not a proactive keeper. (Eg good at one on one/reactive stops but footwork/positioning needs work) Not sure if that has something to do with the current coaching of keepers in this country but I feel like we producing much more keepers with poor footwork.

Hopefully playing/training at the higher level can help with those deficiencies and from an Australian football point of view he can kick on and forge a career at a top top level.

Joe you good thing: The rise of Australia’s next Premier League goalkeeper

Good luck to the kid. His a good aleague level keeper but personally not sure he has the top top level in him. I’d be worried if I was a villa if he was to become their number 2.

Joe you good thing: The rise of Australia’s next Premier League goalkeeper

BRI 3 WEL 0 – Wellington is probably the team I dislike the most and we need a win to restart our season. More attacking power coming back/in so hopefully this can be a start of a run under a better coach then cahn.
PER 0 MCY 1 – City should be too good in this one just.
WUN 1 SYD 1 – need some sides around the 6 to start dropping some points so let’s go this one.
NEW 1 MVC 3 – been impressed with jets the two recent games against us but victory will be too strong after we do then a favour.
ADL 1 CCM 3 – Jackson has the mariner going and should win this one. But the big question out of Adelaide is how did they con villa into signing the overrated keeper.
MAC 1 WSW 1 – The west derby, stalemate.
WEL 1 CCM 3 – Nix will struggle to back up after a hot night in Brisbane.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 15

BRI 3 – MAC 2: both teams give up a lot of chances so I’d expect goals in this. Home team to win
WEL 0 – MVC 0: without Bruno not sure vuck have that star quality needed to break down the nix
SYD 3 – NEW 0: Sat 6.45pm at Allianz and not on FTA. Is this why a bunch of people lost their jobs at APL
WSW 2 – PER 1: it’s pretty dire out west but as long as they have taggart they have a chance. WSW to score late.
CCM 2 – MCY 2: Nisbet to be send and mariners to score 2 in injury time. Cause weird stuff happens in the aleague on Sunday
NEW 0 – BRI 4: much better performance then United round and jets get thumped.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 13

BRI 3 CCM 1: for all of waz doom and gloom we could go temporarily 1st on GD with a win tonight. Both CCM and BRI give up chances so I expect an entertaining game with lots of chances. Brisbane will need to be better in midfield and our CBs with the ball will need to increase their passing accuracy which was both very poor last week.
ADE 1 NEW 2 – The reds have been poor lately while the jets have had a decent couple of weeks. Tipping jets to get the chocolates meaning 4 loses on the bounce for the hapless reds.
WEL 1 WSW 3 – both sides have been impressive. Hard game to spilt but WSW have a bit more threat.
SYD 1 WUN 1 – the sky blues not on FTA, what’s going on? Neither side to find the winner in a game that won’t reach much heights
MCY 1 MVC 4 – classic derby, tight and firey until jakolis gets a red card in the 60th and victory score 3 late second half goals.
PER 0 MAC 2 – it’s going to be a long old season for the guys from the west and the bulls will get back to winning ways.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 9

Brisbane a B while Adelaide is the same and City and CCM are B- is absolutely wild to me

You got a side who missed out on finals the last two season under a rookie manager who’s been in a cup final and been consistently in the finals spot so far this season.

While the other 3 are coming off the back of a number of good seasons. Ones been pumped at home, one didn’t win in a month and one who has sacked their coach.

Difference in the report card mark isn’t consistent with where they started or what they have done so far.

Festive A-League report cards: The Dux's and duds as the season approaches the New Year

WUN 1 – BRI 3 – 3pts and no injuries please. Does anyone like a 6pm kick off on a week day? Seems to be a stupid decision especially for game going fans as well as tv viewers in Brisbane.
WSW 3 – ADL 0 – WSW comfortable winners against a bang average ADL defence.
NEW 1 – PER 1 – if either team want to make it in the 6 they need to pick up the chocolates in games like this.
MVC 4 – SFC 0 – shock horror another Saturday night FTA for SFC. Victory will play 90 minutes one day and put a team to bed and it will be this round.
City 2 – CCM 1 – tired legs will get city a late winner here
MAC 2 – WEL 0 – Monday night football was nice last week and looking forward to bulls performing well in this one.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 8

Gauci is poor in the air eg offside goal on weekend. Makes some really spectacular saves but also makes a habit of conceding some soft ones eg lofthouse’s. However clearly has potential.

Thomas is the better option at the moment just looking at aleague based keepers not sure about Glover, AMB or Bilokapic.

Langerak is the only quality option we have and they need to do everything possible to get him back.

If Mat Ryan's cheekbone keeps him out of the Asian Cup, it's gotta be Gauci in goal
