When BS comes by the litre, it’s easier to swallow… Now EJs selling by the drum, only the real alcoholics are buying it. It seems to me that Rugby in Australia has long had a fascination with type A personalities, the bigger the better. And if they enjoy breaking the norms and being a bit of a prick then they must be really special.

Eddie Jones should be celebrated not booed: Why the worst thing RA could do is sack the Wallabies coach

Yep. If there was an example to follow… Ireland would be it. But who is going to do it?

'Bloody disappointed: Wallabies OUT of World Cup as nation to miss finals for first time, Eddie fights for survival

SPIRO ZAVOS: Return of the 'Woeful Wallabies' after 'coaching failure in heat of battle' - and how high can the Fijians fly?

Yep, he was on ever going to pick a fight

'Give yourself upper cuts': Eddie furious at journos after 'worst press conference I've ever had'

RE the Headline… nice sentiment, but I don’t think so. Eddie Jones is not some dark Lord who is only ever right, simply a human being who sometimes gets things wrong and other times right.
It really concerns me when players start coming out to bat for the Coach, the Coach should be batting for himself.
The Wallabies had me shi##ing myself for a moment, really laid into the ABs, lots to like.
EJ is right in that they won’t be throwing out the baby with the bath water… but persist with these young players he threw into the fire. EJ a clever man who says a lot of dumb shi#

'We let down Eddie': Wallabies go into bat for coach after Bledisloe defeat, Alaalatoa's World Cup heartbreak

Hi Brett.

I do tune in and out of the Roar… but glad to see you are there producing a good Rugby Read… Thanks.
I don’t remember enjoying such a good Wallaby win since the 2001 Lions series.

Mostly… what a mature response to adjust the game from this coaching group.

I caught a video from Rugbypass of Quade Cooper prior to the recent Perth test Abs vs the Wallabies.
What a stunning change in this young(thirty something) man.. who I think has become attached to a Wallabies Culture that he both understands and aligns with.
Good to see.

Just a Team performance in the end. Great.

The Springbok supporters must be somewhat hurting after this… so a shout out to them. Darkest before the and all that.
There is an edge of schadenfreude for the rest of us.

A bullet pass from a lock, and other wonders from the Wallabies’ Brisbane win

The Wrap: Quade Cooper finds the sweet spot to bring the Wallabies home

Where would he want to go? I suspect back to Japan. Do Aussie players have to have a SR contract to play for the Wallabies any more? He clearly has a good relationship with DR, so that should be enough.

The Wrap: Quade Cooper finds the sweet spot to bring the Wallabies home

Absolutely right. Simply designed to inflame.

NZ View: Wallabies' 'first half was a joke', 'own worst enemies', while Foster decision 'puzzling'

“I’m not to sure if Gatland will ever get close to AB role”. I have been sure of that for a while.

The Thursday rugby two-up: Lions deciders and Bledisloe blues

Very one sided

Erasmus's extraordinary 62 minute video rant at Aussie ref Nic Berry stuns World Rugby

Great Character. Funny man. 😊

Joe Marler gives the best post-match interview ever after Harlequins' Premiership win

Despite the ups and downs for Aussie rugby in the TT… they always manage a good 23 on test day.
I think there is a new generation of player coming through, they just need more of them. A local comp is always going to be a loss maker, but is essential in developing new players.
Where you get the money from is another question!

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

Its almost like some people need convincing to stay engaged.

Five talking points from Super Rugby Trans-Tasman, Round 5

A red card is a red card. MC doesn’t do anyone any favours by bringing this sort of perspective that the game suffers by enforcing the laws… it doesn’t. It gets better when the Laws are enforced.

Michael Cheika deplores Damian McKenzie red card as fans wanted to see him play

That’s a hard fact isn’t it. Great player like George Bridge isn’t first choice

Crusaders crush Reds in Super Rugby Superbowl

Hi Nick… thanks once again for a deep dive into the game, and highlighting such an excellent player in Aaron Smith. In find myself agreeing with your perspective that anything is possible for Aussie rugby????

Caught this game last night, yes a great try. 👍

Yeah.. I saw that. Doing the team talk for the ABs again 😊

That’s a serious outcome 😔

Reds trio terminate contracts with Reds and Rugby AU

IMO, Cheika did not evolve as a coach. Instead of improving his players, he ground them down.
How do players become top internationals without clear thinking, guidance and support from the top? They don’t. Raw talent is not enough. He just wasn’t good enough to be a head Coach of an international team.
Australian Rugby can get back to the top, but it won’t happen until it collectively pushes in the same direction. How that happens with so many external (and internal) influences seemingly trying to undermine the game is anyone’s guess. But I guarantee dreaming the old days won’t do it.
Rugby league is a clear influence on Rugby in Australia, and that has been a good thing… but it is time to evolve.

Cheika's league tactics explain the Wallabies' fall from grace

I suspect you are right in that they just weren’t looking for explanations.

"Gutted" Rennie remains committed to coaching Wallabies

So many people say she did a terrible job without explaining why!
