No mention of RM in your post anyway do the ABs need a saviour? Missed out on their fourth RWC by 1 point with 14 players. I would say that’s a credible result considering they weren’t even in discussions about possible tournament winners before it started. Saying that I think it’s time for a freshen up.

I thought that pretty much all contracts have a get out clause. I think you’re overstating the weight of one player if you think RM terminating his contract before it’s up will damage the relationship between Japan and NZ. What you really mean is ‘please don’t come back Richie, Dmac is going to lead us to RWC glory’.

France lost two matches in pool play at the 2011 RWC, but still made the final. The only time that anomaly has occurred I believe. The narrative ever since has been that they was wobbed in the final.

I don’t know how one can stop players willfully slowing the game down. BOK struggled the whole match. I heard him say ‘use it’ about 50 times and then it’s still another 5 seconds before the ball is actually played. There was also a funny incident late in the ABs v Pumas match when Gus Gardner told the Pumas prop several times not to remove his boot before the impending scrum. It’s like herding cats.

While Mitchell’s box kicks were spot on. They were painful to watch as the set up took about as long as the director’s cut of Ben Hur.

The England 9’s box kicks or more specifically his box kicks set-ups were excruciating to watch. Caterpillar, bobble, hop, plant, “Use it” and finally the kick. Genuine question. Did the ball ever make it as far as their midfield?

That lineout throw was epic. It even usurped Aussie’s vaudeville lineout during pool play. No mean feat. I assume the ball was greasy yesterday as both hookers seemed to be struggling with their throw ins.

I agree, however this current ABs team have several different ways of playing which I guess is in part down to Uncle Joe’s influence. So I’m hoping they will tailor their attack to the Boks/Red Roses rush D next week. Difficult for opposition to plan when they don’t know what’s coming.

I thought Beaudy played pretty well against the Irish. Pretty sound backfield positioning. Not sure if Talea could replicate that. It’s a knockout match and experience counts.
