Of course I want the right decision. I have no idea why the decision was over-ruled, or if it was or wasn’t a try. I was standing about 20 metres away towards the halfway so I was on the wrong side of the pack, however the ref was standing in the ingoal area so should of had a great view. In fact the ref from the srcum awarded a penalty to Eastwood for Souths back chat. They were pissed at the reversal. Anyhoo, Eastwood were the best team on the day and deserved their win

speaking of game wrecking refs, on Saturday I was at Foreshaw rugby Park watching Southern Districts play Eastwood. With 5 minutes to full time, one of the souths pigs barged over Eastwoods line off a rolling maul and the ref put his arm in the air and blew a try. Well the Eastwood players blew up at the ref telling him to look at the touchie. Well the ref did that and then cancelled the try awarding a scrum instead to souths. Question, can a ref cancel an awarded try. I have never seen or heard of that as both a player and spectator. Once the try is awarded, shouldn’t the touchie keep his mouth shut and support the ref??? The only reverse decision I am aware of that a ref can make is a penalty…. comments please

Woodsman, how do I have a complete lack of Respect for ANZAC day because I differ in my opinion to you. As an returned serviceman, I am entitled to my opinion like anyone else, and I standby what I have said. Being a member of a Sub-Branch we raise money for the ANZAC House benevolent society, but hang on, I haven’t stood in silence with 90, 000 people so somehow I lack respect!!!

UD Almeria, no mate, never noticed it. What I did notice was that the RAN placed alot of sporting effort into golf and Rugby and to a lesser extent cricket.

Have you don the uniform Redb??? I only did 8 years fulltime between 86 and 93 (plus 6 in reserves)in the RAN mate, but I bet its 8 years more than you. I’ll wear my AASM (Kuwait) ASM (Bouganville) ADM and KLM with pride mate. I don’t need to go the MCG mate to show my respect. I’ll march down down George Street with afew old mates. Don’t you dare say I haven’t got respect for fallen diggers. You getting up for the dawn service RedB or are you going to be tucked up in bed. ANZAC day to me is more than someone playing the last post before two local teams under the banner of ANZAC day. Like I said, the lack of Kiwi represntation in my opinion makes it not symbolic of the ANZAC tradition.

This game is a farce!! It is not an ANZAC game without a Kiwi presence, ideally a Kiwi team. NZ is only 3 hours away and the AFL ignores NZ in ANZAC!!!! Disgraceful!!! I think a hybrid game like international rules where say an AFL team played an All Black side of hybrid rugby/AFL. What a sight 😉 St george Vs Roosters has a few few Kiwi test players in their sides.

Dave, I am based in Hong Kong and follow rugby (particularly the tahs) and the Dragons, this is not an Australian only issue mate! when the NRL are putting together their brief, they have to take into account New Zealand. But then I am probably losing you here, as I am talking about foreign nations out of control of vlad and the VIC government. You just keep polarising your views mate!!!

when you say rugby my untravelled friend I am assuming you are talking about rugby union, simple answer mate, outside of NSW and QLD a fair size of the planet.
