Adam Ashley Cooper, Mitchell, Giteau, Moore etc – We need to break up.
When I use the dating site eharmony, I don’t read their stats and decide this is the man I am going to marry. I take him out and see how he performs in front of me. If he cant perform then I never call him up to play another round hoping something changes. If he is a dud then he is a dud.
We need to look at this like a break up (which we all know is hard to do). Because a lot of fans and rugby ‘professionals’ seem to be emotionally attached to these older guys and are scared of ‘having the break up talk’… There is no need for “it’s not you, it’s me” because it is them. It is time for Cheika to look them in the eyes and say “it’s you, your are not performing as we need’.
These ‘old’ guys may have lot’s of caps but have won no major trophies. There is a pattern here that does not require Albert Einstein raising from the dead to work out. Stop investing in players who have had opportunity over and over again to direct the team towards a consistent winning culture yet stop short (every time).
Whether they are good guys and how they look on paper has to be left in the past. They have not been good enough to date and it’s time we gave other players the chance to be developed into something great.
If you can’t ‘perform’ on a date at least there is a pill you can take – THERE IS NO SPECIAL PILL to fix this, they are not going to change, improve or get better.
So can someone PLEASE have the ‘talk’ with these guys and BREAK UP. It is time to go, as fan I am sorry but I need to see other people.

PS: I have never played Rugby but I do have general commonsense so my question is, when does every day commonsense come into this? If it hasn’t worked (in a long time) it is time to move these players on.

Moore was really hard to watch on Saturday night, he was very slow and not making much impact at all. I think he has had his day.
