Great article. Well written, well argued and well researched. Thank you Tragic!
An open letter to the Wallabies' captains
Defence was pathetic! Well done to France, they turned up and got the rewards. Probably time some consideration was given to bringing Matt Taylor back from Scotland to work with the Wallabies. He certainly couldn’t do any worse as a defence coach. He’s done some very good things with Scotland since he’s been there. Has the runs on the board.

‘If replacement halfback Nic White ever kicks again, rugby fans will throw up.’
I think you meant David… If replacement halfback Nic White ever wears a Wallaby jersey again, rugby fans will throw up….
Ewen McKenzie's resignation a real shocker
Hi Mick. Goes to show how we miss Rob Simmons when he’s not out there…not just this game. Hope all’s well in your grid square. And Alexander…nuff said…
Argentina score historic win over Wallabies
I’ve been an advocate of the conversion being 3 points, as for the penalty and drop goal, for some years now. This not only simplifies the scoring further, a converted try becomes 8 points. You still require kicking skills.
No one has provided a sound argument why this wouldn’t work in seeing more attacking rugby. Here’s a great opportunity. Let’s see if they’re half serious.
Larkham agrees with NRC points change
Blinky, most Reds fans appreciate good rugby and that’s exactly what the Waratahs seem to be playing AT LONG LAST!!! It augers well for a strong Wallaby team as we move toward another RWC next year.
However, I wouldn’t be writing the Reds off just yet. A strong conference makes all the difference to the National side and by the looks of things, the conference overall isn’t looking particularly shabby.

Believe it or not, Tane, you don’t need to be a doctor IOT think clearly and logically.
McMeniman, McCabe and Pocock injured as Brumbies beat Force
Good advice, well presented Golden. Doesn’t come much clearer than that!

When did Slips say he wants to play THP? His preferred posn is LHP but will play where the team needs him to play, incl the Wallabies. His versatility is only now being recognised after some pretty ordinary comments about him last season. Let’s hope he remains injury free to continue to ply his trade for the Reds and the Wallabies.
SPIRO: A Super Rugby round of some brilliant upsets
Good article Jim. Nice to see Slips getting some well deserved recognition. It wasn’t long ago the nae sayers were ridiculing him as an aboration in the 3 jersey. He’s a team player and although loose is his preferred position, he will go where he’s needed for the team. and a nice guy to boot.
Slipper primed for another Super year
Was at the game and the silence at the end of the match was deafening. Music to the ears, actually 🙂
Reds down Brumbies 27-17 in Canberra
Hmmm. Could sound like that with a wee bit of Kiwi accent 😉
SPIRO: The brilliant Wallabies winners are finally grinners
Well played Red Kev. Not sure Jake’s decision isn’t a case of taking his ball and going home. Needs to be able to move on from decisions made against him.
To take the Brumbies to a Super title in 2014 would have been the best retort. This move is more akin to a disgruntled teenager. Maybe he should get together with O’Connor 🙂
RATHBONE: My take on Jake's resignation
Hey Mike. You now officially have a muppet called CHT. I see from his posts he has a good grasp of English, similar to many bogans I should think. You might like to get him to crawl back under his rock.
ARU bash O'Connor with a feather
No mate. All you’ve done is show everyone that you have no original thought and you find it hard to understand the simplest of logic. But that’s OK, the Roar’s an inclusive place so please continue. We deserve some humour.

More unequivocal drivel. You really are full of it. Go on, enlighten us on your definition of ‘standing’.

Mate, they’re not giving out prizes for second, but line up anyway, you would be a part of that expectancy mob.
ARU bash O'Connor with a feather
Yep, you were part of that rubbish. Should have known.
ARU bash O'Connor with a feather
Yes Mike, and Craig Thompson has been unjustly dealt with on speculation too. You obviously continue to show absolutely no clue about leadership, management and culture relating to a work environment.
ARU bash O'Connor with a feather
Yep. TSS lost one game in two years, including trials, against BBC, a home game at Southport in 2006. It was the loss they had to have 🙂

The Reds appear to be getting that ‘never say die’ attitude which has no doubt come from Thorn. Some of their rugby has been truly exceptional and keeping the ball in hand is paying dividends. They will be title contenders next year if they remain on their current trajectory.
