The city investigation is in process (the number of charges mean the investigation will take longer) and points deductions are entirely appropriate. Otherwise wealthy clubs will just treat the fine as the cost of doing business.
Everton cheated, they breached the cap to get an advantage, while other teams didn’t so they need to be punished.

England isn’t a rugby nation, they play a bastard 10 man version of league. Maybe your personal deficiencies and nationality mean you’re happy with someone doing a bad job (it would explain the tories, fazza, brexit and every English coach since since 03) but I’m not. Poor reffing meant a poor game, but you love the stirring sight of fat boys mud wrestling so you’d deem it a classic.

This wc will always have an asterisk. Barnes and the tmo were poor and influenced the outcome with at least 4 marginal or incorrect decisions. Even then SA only just pipped a side with one man less for half the game. The rules are a mess and the game is a lottery. To lose an arm wrestle like 95 was hard. But this felt like robbery.

Studying Barnes wouldn’t have helped as he didn’t make a consistent decision all night. He called du toit for what looked like steal, missed knock ons, etc, etc. He was overwhelmed, choked I the first 5mins and spent the rest of the game flailing.
