Have had my doubts about Beale in the past but his form this year has been great IMO, definitely a reason behind the Dragons mini resurgance
Should Stephen Kearney be allowed to coach New Zealand?
Garrick ‘the Toovey tacklebag’ Morgan
Benji and the Sharks: a match made on Struggle Street?
Thanks Jack
I’ve never been a big Vidot fan but must, begrudgingly, admit he is playing some good footy
The QLD hooker depth at the moment is fantastic, and if Hunt was HB then you think maybe they’d prefer McCullough at 9
I do Sat mornings 8-10, 101FM Logan City on ‘The Front Row’ Sports Show with Kev Braysher and Craig Crowley…call in and i’ll even dust-off Barnesy for you!

QLD Origin crisis: Replacements to the rescue!
I find the Concord situation interesting too Will
My understanding is that when Sheens took over as head coach he moved all their training operations there to centralize things
Seems strange though given their two supporter bases
I.e “Yeah we train at this stadium, then play at these three other stadiums…”
Campbelltown crowd figure is a blight on the Tigers, not their fans
I hear Josh Hoffman may have nominated himself for the difficult task…
Who has the NRL's toughest job?
I agree Christian…as long there’s any good ones
All hail Toovs, the Blues coach in waiting
What, and move Aaron Raper to hooker? Madness
All hail Toovs, the Blues coach in waiting
Yeh 70s mo like many teams Souths switched away from the hoops during the war years (think Roosters, Balmain etc) due to difficulty in getting material, the one the Bunnies are sporting this weekend is from that era

NRL’s half-arsed Heritage Round
Especially if Wests were sporting a ‘Herbal World Therapeutic Soft Drinks’ style number!
NRL’s half-arsed Heritage Round
Also their on-ground logos were of the old school variety on Fri night
NRL’s half-arsed Heritage Round
It’s funny, usually this is the time where we say “Geez the NRL could learn a lot from AFL, NFL, MLB etc”
But if you look at it heritage/retro/ rounds are a bone of contention in every code
You only have to think back to the bun fight over the proposed Adelaide Crows knock off SA strip at the start of the year, or take a squiz at some of the horrid NFL ‘Throwback unis’ to see this
Are they really worth the trouble? personally I think they are, but maybe save them for later in the season and make it a must that every club puts in a sufficient amount of effort
NRL’s half-arsed Heritage Round
To be fair Epiquin I guess with WIL round if every side wears pink there could be the odd jersey clash, but I like your other points
NRL’s half-arsed Heritage Round
Titans leading the comp!
…With a negative for and against :/
NRL’s half-arsed Heritage Round
Pretty sure Newcastle are wearing the Henny-Penny era style strip and yes cowboys will be busting out the grey
Hopefully the fact that it’s school holidays will help alleviate NQ’s great tradition of avoiding Monday night games like the Mad COw nightclub at 5 in the morning
NRL’s half-arsed Heritage Round
Quite like the Manly strip, it’s just about spot on to their mid 90s one (incl the bizarre one maroon/one white sleeve)
NRL’s half-arsed Heritage Round
Yeh this is my point. I love footy nostalgia like a fat kid loves cake, so to see things done on the dodgy is really irritating.
Why the bloody hell can teams choose not to wear their heritage strips in heritage round? Shouldn’t the NRL sit them down at the start of the year and say “Right, this is happening, so make sure you’ve got yourself organised.”
NRL’s half-arsed Heritage Round
Agreed Luke’s replacement had a pretty good game and Reynolds still seems to be trying hard…but has he taken on the line this year?
What becomes of the broken Bunnies?
Yeh sorry about that Planko, was just worried it was some sort of late April Fools joke and didn’t want to look the goose…
