What a dumb comment. You mention how we only had to 2 away games against top 8 teams, ignorance at its best to make your arguement sound better. Are the AFL supposed to predict how the ladder will finish in 2019 and do their fixtures accordingly? The team we played 2 twice in 2019 are Collingwood (runners up) Melbourne (top 4) GWS (top 8) Port (10th who many people predicted would make the 8 earlier in the season) & Carlton was the only team who we shouldnt have played twice but every team gets to play someone down hte bottom of the ladder twice, thats how the fixtures are designed. E.G. WCE get Fremantle twice, they also got to play Essendon & Adelaide twice in 2019. Why couldnt they finish top 2 with that kind of fixture?
Secondly you mention we lost 5 out of 9 away games this season, you fail to mention that 7 of those 9 away games occured prior to our bye week when our team struggled to get any consistency through constant injuries. How about before whinging at how unfair the competition is you do a bit of research instead.
The true of the matter is West Coast lost a home game against Hawthorn and Collingwood lost a home game against GWS both results had a massive impact on how the season ended and both games had nothing to do with Richmond’s “home” ground advantage.

What does the rest of the AFL need to do to catch the Tigers?

Massive ego of Richmond? Is that what it’s called when you play consistently good footy for 3 years? Can’t help but feel jealousy plays a bit more of a role in your comments than ego.

All in all it doesnt matter who people choose to support though, makes no difference to the outcome on the day.

Go Tiges !!

Brilliant GWS set up a Giant Grand Final

Come on you Tigers !! Hardwick looked relaxed yesterday while Scott was a bit testy earlier this week. Perhaps it’s Scott feeling the pressure? Think this will flow into the game tonight.
Can understand why Pies fans want Geelong to win, they know they can beat Geelong where Richmond is 50/50.

Richmond Tigers vs Geelong Cats: AFL preliminary final forecast

What if he says he was just blindly trying to reach for the ball in the pack?

Why the AFL's case against Toby Greene is set to fall apart

Think the Pies will beat GWS quite easily to be honest. Maybe the first quarter will be tight but after that I think the Pies will run over them.

I don’t think Geelong will be easy to beat even without Hawkins. They have learnt from the Collingwood game what they need to do during finals. They also totally outplayed West Coast except for a quarter and a half.

It’s going to be a scrap.

AFL preliminary finals: can the underdogs rise up?

in 4 years time you can all stand up at Optus and give him massive applause when he returns to the game.

The Eagles will soar without Rioli

Disagree with this article, purely guessing as to how you think they will react. Nobody knows until the game starts tonight. Quite the opposite is highly possible too.

The Eagles will soar without Rioli

Spot on Peter, if Collingwood lose tonight, NN wont be able to run with Grundy, said a bit earlier I can’t see West Coast beating Collingwood or Geelong TBH. Essendon have been very ordinary for most of the past month and a half.

West Coast wallop Essendon in AFL finals opener

I believe West Coast won’t beat either Collingwood or Geelong next week, their form all year has been very up and down, they just belted a team whose form the past 5 weeks had been terrible. People quickly forget this bombers team only beat Gold Coast by 10 points, lost to the Bulldogs by 104 points and even got flogged by Port for 59 points. So a 55 points to the Eagles in Perth was pretty normal.

Collingwod and Geelong will both know not to give the Eagles backmen easy uncontested marks, everyone knows once the ball hits the deck in the Eagles backline are worst in the league for points condeded, so both these team wont be playing dumb Essendon footy.

West Coast wallop Essendon in AFL finals opener

& the competition has a fear of Richmond 😁

Nine in row: Tigers loom large in September

We won’t play the doggies Doc, if that was to happen they would need to lose to Adelaide in Ballarat. Doggies will finish 7th and If Collingwood beat Essendon then we will be playing the bombers first week if we lose to Brissy.

Five talking points from AFL Round 22

One game Doctor Doctor give me the news.
Would happily play Collingwood again and yesterday clearly shows we will be hard to beat come September, sit back and enjoy the show.

Five talking points from AFL Round 22

Gotta laugh in 2017 our style of play was apparently suited to finals footy but now it’s just suited to wet weather. Bring on September

Five talking points from AFL Round 22

There is still a couple of ways for Richmond to avoid a West Coast Prelim if the following happens if Richmond lose & Collingwood win this weekend:

West Coast beat Richmond
Brisbane beat Geelong at the GABBA
Richmond beat Brisbane the following week at the G
Meaning a possible Collingwood v Richmond Semi Final with the winner playing most likely Geelong at the G Prelim.

If Geelong beat Brisbane at the GABBA & West Coast beat Richmond this weekend and Richmond then lose to Brisbane at the G next weekend, Richmond falls to 6th, if they can then beat 7th in a Elimination final at the G then they most likely will play Brisbane at the GABBA in the semi with the winner to then play Geelong in the Prelim.

Makes for an exciting couple of weekends, but all those situations are taking into account that Collingwood actually beat Adelaide in Adelaide of course.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 22

Who is Jeremy Cameron’s brother who wears blue and yellow? I hope you’re not referring to Jarrod Cameron LOL the brother of Brisbane Lion Charlie …. LOL

Collingwood's injury crisis has reached breaking point

Once again raising stats slanted it to suit your arguement to make you feel better for missing out on him.
So I guess being ranked 1st this year for contested marks isnt that important as a key forward, or being 3rd in the comp for marks inside 50 per game is irrelevant as well. 4th on the goal kicking list is pretty over rated too for a forward.
As I said earlier, stop trying to look for flaws in a guy just to make yourself feel better.

Star recruit Lynch wins Tigers' respect

LOL give it up Pete, just admit Tom would have been nice in Pie colours and move on. Pretty sad how people just want the bloke to fail to justify their feelings. Not sure if you have been paying attention but Tom has actually looked pretty good the past month not just the 2nd quarter of last week. Build a bridge champ.

Star recruit Lynch wins Tigers' respect

I think the Eagles are clear number 1 favourites and deserve to be, the question we had was Kennedy and he bounced back nicely on the weekend.
Richmond I’d have 3rd behind Brisbane, but we get a good look at both teams in the last month and both games are 50/50 atm.
Geelong I’d have 4th, still in premiership contention but are winning ugly and that reminds me of my team last year at the back end of the season, getting it done but are they running out of steam? Possibly.

AFL Power Rankings 2019: Round 19

I’m still not entirely convinced on my boys yet, this friday night has me nervous. The pies have our measure and we won’t see them play so badly 2 weeks in a row. I’m predicting a response like they did in Perth. My tiges are getting some form back which makes it more interesting but seriously we havent played anyone really. Saints & Suns struggling, GWS at the G and were injury hit and then last week against Port who are too inconsistent. I guess the best thing for Richmond is we play 3 teams in the top 4 so if we are good enough then we will make it. I just still need a little more convincing.

Five weeks 'til finals: Who are the flag favourites?

Wow, I remember reading articles like this last season regarding my Tigers and we all know how well that ended……. It’s April let the media jump on the as many bandwagons as they can .. until next week. That old footy saying rings true to me, “a weeks a very long time in footy”.

The Eagles have the flag at their mercy

Freo will be very competitive at home and will win most of their home games in 2019 but once again will find the going tough when travelling.
Overall they will be harder to beat next year with Fyfe, Lobb, Hogan & Hill brothers slotting in but unless they get a great fixture and play the easier teams away then I cant see them winning many more games than they did in 2018.

Freo: Moving forward, or staying docked?

Collingwood will thump them, Geelong are on the slide.

AFL reveals first week of 2019 draw

What Non-Victorian team supporters dont factor in is that those Victorian sides dont get a true home ground advantage at every home game they play like non Victorian teams do.
You might believe its unfair that Vic teams only travel interstate 4-5 times a season but when they play other Victorian teams at home the crowd is never 85% pro the home team.
Non Vic teams even when playing against their home town rival still have majority home gorund advantage.

AFL reveals first week of 2019 draw

I think the West Coast v Collingwood game has all the hall marks of a suprise gritty Collingwood win interstate. Collingwood’s confidence is up, they are going in as underdogs, they are playing fast agressive pressure footy and it’s a night match. We have seen this plenty of times before usually against Sydney, Adelaide & Port Adelaide.

I think the Pies will get up and I dont even like Collingwood.

2018 AFL finals series: Week 1 preview

Bad form since round 17 that saw wins against, Collingwood, Geelong, Suns, Bombers, Saints & Bulldogs.

Terrible form … bottom 6 effort.

Tigers can flick the switch to recapture finals form: Hardwick
