Why has the great Bulldog Les Johns been overlooked as fullback, or the very durable Gary Dowling? Both gave sterling service to this club.Luke Patten wouldn’t hold a candle to either of these! Also missing in action is George Taylforth a club stalwart in the 60s and champion goalkicker like 1990s star Hasem el Masri. Can’t believe the no of omissions from the stalwart list!!

The Dragons have been in the doldrums for a few yrs and I’m not sure it’s over yet. Their recruitment policy has been horrendous. Paying big bucks for Norman was ridiculous He was never going to be a will’o’the wisp playmaker like Widdop. Then to add insult to injury signing over the hill forwards like McCullough and McGuire. What was that going to achieve?
Burgess is another in the ‘well past his best’ category. Why didn’t they fight harder to retain their best forward in 2020, Cam McInnes? Similarly to let Saab and Dufty go was pretty dumb. They would have added hugely to the Dragons attack weaponry. Hook does not impress me. Always full of excuses after poor game performances. Can you imagine Bellamy tolerating the garbage onfield defence the Dragons have produced so often this year? No leadership, no solidarity, no idea!

Surprised that Jim Maxwell has been omitted from the RL game caller list. Although these days better known as ABC cricket commentator, Maxwell’s RL match calling back in the 1990s was top class. He and co-commentator Reg Gasnier did a magnificent job.

I agree. Fitzy is a dork but he’s spot on with this one. Redcliffe Dolphins is a fully formed brand of over 70 years duration. Why mess with the formula? Sunshine Coast is another hour’s distance away. Has absolutely no affiliation with the Redcliffe peninsula. Equally Moreton Bay is too broad. This bay extends to nearly Southport on the Gold Coast!!
