Agree with the view except the woke Rubbish..yes seems a directive from HQ to try and speed the game up more and avoid bad decisions…but it is actually raising bad decisions since they don’t call some great tackles and lousy disposals…you have to pay reward great tackles more or the game ends up a chaotic mess for periods..which is what we are increasingly seeing…

I would like to see the actual current Juniors numbers and Seniors playing League in Perth and NZ South Island – probably PNG as well (I have been to PNG and have relatives born there and they due to the saftey issues have all moved down to OZ/Qld so although would love a team just dont think its possible currently for 5-10 years).
You need either avery good base to feed the Club with Players – or Big backers with big wallets to get them going and stealing players from Existing Clubs Juniors and Seniors – Like the Storm did….so it should be decided on Numbers and Money !
PS I dont think the AFL is worried about NRL at all – okay they are looking at building up there Juniors etc more in NSW and Qld and they have been doing that for the past 20 years…was in Cairns for 20 years and my boys all played AFL there and the support and resourcing to the clubs was terrific. Note I grew up in Wagga and Canberra so played mainly League but also played AFL….both are great games to play…

I would think those 4 teams will all make the 8 this year…and there performances back that up…maybe next year the other 4 teams that make the 8 go to Vegas…that would be the way to spread it around..teams that haven’t been in the 8 for a while get a go

One question I have a bit this game is around the HIA – if Meaney has to go off to a HIA check and 15 minutes how come with that big collision and head knock’s to three players skulls (the Tacklers Radley and Collins in Particular) how come no HIA – just a quick check by the club water boys and play on…

Instead of Bateman I would have this year put in John Sattler as the John of the Team..now up in Heaven and one of the best Props…maybe replace Graham with him – since Satts played with a broken jaw whilst Graham liked smashing up faces (Like Sam’s)…also they are Poms.
Yes Peter Sterling is a great inclusion – the best Halfback ever..better than Johns and Cleary in my opinion..St Peter for sure.

Exactly -saw that early pass and the whole house yelled “Forward!”…but then the play went on – thought the Ref pulled it up for that but all the commentators and the bunker where focused on the end phase of the play – the got that wrong but in a weird way they got the call right for the full play and the early forward pass…we had to turn down the rubbish commentators going on about it when the call was actually in the end right…

One thing limiting soccer’s growth is the huge registration fee’s they now have..their Administration is forcing huge rego fee’s on the young teams to fund their own executives and mates…one of my boys went and played a few years and it was a joke what they charge and demand compared to AFL and NRL..which he went back to with his brothers mainly due to the stuck up officials, parents and so called teams elite best players bias..he tension on the sieline by the protective parents was unbearable!…anyway all my boys played AFL – some NRL – but mainly support AFL and watch NRL- this generation is different – I came from a League background – played it till I got suspended for a good period of time and went across and played Aussie Rules with some Victorian born mates up here in NSW/ACT and ended up loving it – made the Junior Rep side toured SA and VIC – won a premiership in the local comp (their first and only for 30 plus years till they won another in any grade.!…my Dad and League relo’s were spewing and giving me heaps as a traitor (and other names)…but love both games – and let my boys and girls’ choose to follow what they want…we go to games of both comps throughout the year as a get together..

Yep agree – and also agree re woke – as soon as someone throws that in I consider they have lost the argument or are not worth listening to – its a dumb new word I just don’t get except that the people using it generally don’t have a clue – the word of last resort!
