My late father remembered, that if had got an antibiotic shot, he’d be alive. The things we take for granted.
The forgotten players: St George Dragons
Special mention too to Chris Johns, Wally Fullerton Smith, Noel Goldthorpe, Wayne Bartrim, Tony Priddle, Graeme Bradley, Ian Herron.

All good. On an extended bench I’d add Jamie Ainscough, Choc Mundine, Craig Fitzgibbon, Tariq Sims and Josh Morris. After all the Morris twins work better as a complete set.
St George Illawarra's greatest NRL team
Putting my Bluebags hat on, I’d like to see the Sharks sign both Benji and Jimmy the Jet. If they struggle at Endeavour Field, then they’d be a welcome experienced lot at Henson Park. They’d complement the young guns already there. Be a great highlight reel with the Jet scoring a try off a Billy Magoulias kick.
Should the Dragons take a punt on James Roberts?
All good points. But in the post Bennett years under Price / Mary and Young the Dragons although good players on paper have been scatter brained. Hot and cold. Relying too much on their club history rather than ability. Like the Wests Magpies of old, produce great players but not a consistent team. Paying huge amount of money for lemons from other clubs. With a new coach that has no playing ties with the club, it could be a fresh start with a change of culture to meet the demands of the modern game. As for Roberts, Griffin has first to fix the headspace of the current roster and mold them into a team. The sooner they also drop the dragging anchor that is the de Belin saga the better they can start the rebuild process.
Should the Dragons take a punt on James Roberts?
Another cheap option is get Jai Field back and utilize his speed, youth and flexibility.
Should the Dragons take a punt on James Roberts?
Totally agree. Throw in Mike Stephenson and Brad Fittler. Oh and John Cartwright
Penrith’s greatest NRL team
I’d throw Adam Reynolds in the mix. On an extended bench maybe Adam Douhie.
The snubbed Blues 17 who could beat Queensland
Good choice. I would have added Tony Kemp in the mix. Gutsy player.
Newcastle's greatest NRL team
I remember that Epifanis played for Wests but in the case of Smokin’ Joe Thomas, remember him at the Dogs, Rabbitohs and Magpies but not at the Steelers.

My first boss, doing a paper run for his newsagency. I remember him scoring a runaway intercept try with a ripped jersey flapping in the wind only to have it disallowed by the ref, I think Greg Hartley and I think against Easts. The media lost their minds when the excuse from Hartley came. Apparently, he wasn’t properly in uniform or something lame like that.
