AFL News: Suns chairman's brutal parting shot at Rankine, Clarko's Kanga cull begins

The players tend to get what they want nowadays which has been good and bad for the Crows in the past – a deal will get done but not for two first rounders. On what he is worth, everyone is saying $800K for Luke Jackson – which is overs – but it is more probable that a young ruckman would command that money over a small fwd.

AFL News: Zorko sledge crossed line - Gawn, Rankine requests Crows trade, North re-sign Cunnington, Rayner banned

That wouldnt have come from the Crows – he is not worth two – we didnt even give that for Dawson who is better IMO – remembering Sydney also went hard. Generally the losing club ends up giving way unless they want to prove a point and get nothing and the Crows can do what Carlton did with Martin.

And the Suns wont want him to go the PSD either so a deal will get done, they always do – it will get done for a first round pick maybe a smidgen extra. Lets be honest the salaries reported by the journos are never accurate – be extremely surprised if the Crows are paying $4mil over 5 years.

The silly part is they video themselves whilst doing it – if you are doing an illegal act why video yourself – saves on lawyers I suppose.

'Deeply ashamed' Bailey Smith responds to photo with illicit substance as Bulldogs investigate

Good piece – not sure I am a fan of two games on Friday nights. What I also liked there were goals aplenty by both teams dont see that too often.

AFL Friday Footy Fix: Sensational Showdown deserved the spotlight, but not as a double act

The Crows didnt offer him much and I think it was only two years. They werent upset that he left given the rebuild.

Suns' staggering list management own goal sees star poached by Kangaroos

I read that too and would be surprised he would change however we will ask the question no doubt as his experience will help our young backline.

One charge dropped, but De Goey still to face court over New York arrest

it is but who was glassed?

One charge dropped, but De Goey still to face court over New York arrest

No sexual assault, pleading not guilty to assault – even if he gets done they will give him a stern talking to as he has been a naught boy – but he will be fine. I hope he has a good year to bore it up one and all and hopefully then the Crows can get at Maynard as a free agent – 😁

Good article Stirling – it certainly makes you think the expectations and pressures heaped upon these young men.

Why we should all be holding our horses on Horne-Francis

Then why are amphetamines banned by WADA as performance enhancing?

It’s about time Ben Cousins is in the Hall of Fame

Agree – I think the AFL has admitted that they have to work the MSRD a bit better. I still feel sorry for the losing clubs it could grill their finals aspirations.

Mock mid-season rookie draft order 3.0

Stengle got what he deserved – sometimes talent alone will not get you into the AFL.

Mock mid-season rookie draft order 3.0

Hawks tried to work the draft for Newcombe and were smacked on the wrist hence they took him number two or another club was going to pick him up at his inflated price

Hi Hub – when you did you play for Coolaroo FC – I played for them in early 2000’s before going to the Warwick Redbacks.

Trade and draft review: Bombers succession planning

You did mention the picks gifted to the Suns from the AFL – that gravy train is about to end and given the mismanagement in the club with your initial players list and the AFL imposing staff in the club, it will be interesting to see if your club can stand on its own two feet.

2020 AFL draft: Club-by-club review, my take on every team

Harrison Wigg didnt the Crows trade him to the Suns – not sure the crows nor would Port given his injuries to date

All that is doing is picking JUH to bore it up the Doggies, which I can understand 😁 .

Why the Crows shouldn't bid for Jamarra Ugle-Hagan with pick one

Crows are only looking at max 4 players pick 1 & 9 they will use on new talent however they have committed to Borlaise and Newchurch and they have picks 22 & 23 left.

Why the Crows shouldn't bid for Jamarra Ugle-Hagan with pick one

Dont be so sure Chanon, I think you may find that the Crows will pick MacDonald as good as JUH maybe, MacDonald has runs on the board JUH does not – to me easy decision.

Why the Crows shouldn't bid for Jamarra Ugle-Hagan with pick one

Totally agree it is hard to go past MacDonald given his year. JUH unfortunately hasnt played this year and is slightly more of a unknown. Good luck to the Doggies in getting him but for mine the Crows will pick MacDonald purely on his past year – impressive young footballer.

Why the Crows shouldn't bid for Jamarra Ugle-Hagan with pick one

So what you are saying is that the AFL should decide who is the first pick regardless of his affiliation, however the Crows may feel that MacDonald or Holland (dont think Thilthorpe will be considered given Himmelberg’s rise this year) will fill their needs – MacDonald has some serious runs on the board this year.

Why the Crows shouldn't bid for Jamarra Ugle-Hagan with pick one

I think nearly every club in the past have stated that they will consider to trade the No1 pick, however it would take something special for that to occur and then the Crows would almost have to be certain that the player they want would be there.

Why the Crows shouldn't bid for Jamarra Ugle-Hagan with pick one

Whilst you Doggies may think you are nabbing the No 1 draft pick not so sure even if JUH is available the Crows would pick him over Logan Macdonald given Logan’s year – 11.2 disposals, 4 marks, 2.4 goals/game as an 18 y.o. in the WAFL as well as RU Leading Goal kicker, Team of the Year etc, I think they use the term Generational Player when they speak of him.
