Once injuries hit the Dragons will be done.
With no depth at all they will fall in a heap and collect their first wooden spoon.

2024 is the Year of the Dragon, but it looks like St George Illawarra didn’t get the memo

Another player at the Dragons who would be on big coin but is reserve grade standard. The club can’t attract any decent players so end up having to persist with plodders like this in their squad.
Good luck Flanagan because he’s going to need it at this club!

Bird wants to fly back to the future with positional change after Flanagan reunion: 'I can get back to my best, if not better'

What a joke.
Pandering to Ben Hunt once again even after he said he wants out of the club.
The fact he’s still captain says everything about the club and where its at. Its a club with no pride anymore. Instead he should be turfed out the door.
Flanagan is showing how desperate he is trying to hang on to Ben Hunt after everything he’s said. Its actually embarrassing.

'Got the world at his feet': Flanagan sets sights on Maroons playmaker to help keep Hunt a happy Dragon

The club is surely getting a spoon next season. Such an average squad and the culture there is toxic and has been for over a decade.
Illawarra Dragons are the last resort for players these days just like the Magpies of the 80’s and 90’s.
Its sad as a long time supporter to see a once proud club become so inept and embarrassing on and off the field.

Can Flanno prescribe a miracle cure to revive the Dragons in 2024, or will it just be another year on life support?

Dragons for the spoon.
With the absolute rubbish they have served up for over a decade now they actually deserve more than one.
They need to come dead last for the embarrassment of it to shake the club up and then maybe there will be some sort of change?

NRL ladder prediction: Part 2 - Will under-fire Hook be first coach to go?

Nrl clubs are run like a business these days. All the good clubs have learnt this and are run accordingly.
Sadly Illawarra and the other bottom of the table clubs haven’t and will continue to fail until they change their management etc.

Generation next is key to the Dragons' revival

Dragons placed 6th is laughable!!

Snakes and ladders: NRL 2022 edition

Superclub they said…….
This club will never be successful again until they get their front office in order.
Until then they will continue to struggle and occasionally scrape into the finals every five years or so.
They haven’t been relevant in the competition for a long time now.

The famous Red V: Why the end of the 2021 season cannot come quickly enough

Totally agree.
The Dragons will struggle in 2017 and will be one of the clubs vying for the wooden spoon.
Sad times.

Could the St George Illawarra Dragons be a force in 2017?
