Daly is a solid signing for the Reds. He can play. In the AIL he was one of the form back 5 players and I think he will be very comfortable at this level.

'A good one': Meet the first Irishman to play for the Reds in nearly 30 years - and how he won over Sydney club rugby

A great appointment for Australian Rugby. He is thorough, a technician and tactically astute. If there was a lack of detail with the last coach there will be plenty of journaling and improvement with Schmidt.

Exclusive: Wallabies to turn to Kiwi Schmidt as Eddie Jones' replacement

This was a good read. We have very little from the sheds and though NW was polite the insight was enough.

I could never work out what we were trying to do but it seems the players were in the same boat.

The Vapours had a great tune about Turning Japanese and and it seems Hamish didn’t hear it.

So we can leave the Emperor’s new clothes behind and now knowing what bad looks like it should make the next easier to work out….fingers crossed …..

'An experiment gone wrong': Wallabies star opens up on 'chaotic' year - and why Aussie rugby can be turned around

Dear Mr Harper,

I understand the article is important but we are tired of the McLennan soap opera. I hope it is the last so can we move on. There was a great community rugby event at the Emus in Orange NSW recently. Why not celebrate this like many other great community rugby efforts and spend less time on the underserving.

COMMENT: 'Best interests of the game'? Hamish's dummy spit proves RA was right to cut him loose

Well done to Noah Lolesio….

he turned a difficult selection experience around by proving himself in the Top 14 and deserved his pilou pilou…..

Some great points made and I agree. It is clear rugby needs less greed and a very different leadership. I don’t know the former Chairman but there has been a steady supply of the same thinking for too long. One could not imagine the former Chairman and his cohort doing the oranges except for a cocktail. Been living in Ireland for a few years now and involved in the game here. The IRFU rugby leadership has not been perfect but it could not be compared to the dysfunctional soap opera put on in St Leonards. It is a wonderful game kept going by so many great people ( thank you all ) and they deserve better….
