Let’s forget the QLD Olympics and use the money to improve the health system, education, public transport etc. Pay the ‘fine’ and get on with it.
The reality is that the IOC should take the Olympics back to Greece as a permanent venue thus preventing countries mortgaging themselves up to the hilt believing that the infrastructure that remains somehow justifies the exorbitant cost.

Suncorp Stadium could be knocked down as Brisbane's Olympic fiasco takes another twist

That’s a bit rough! Many of these guys wont have a job next season and try as they might there is a sign I ant weight hanging over them every single week
Once again RA are handling the whole Rebels thing with hopeless ineptitude…why am I not surprised with that????

'Early season identity crisis': Same old Melbourne Rebels just cannot seem to kick their tired and costly habits

I was very excited when the Rebels were formed. As a long time player in the Melbourne club comp I thought we were to witness the official recognition of rugby in Vic.
It is very disappointing to see that the Rebels have so much debt. Why so? Lack of crowds?
I have often pondered where Rebels players go if not picked in the weekly side? To learn that they are propping-up the Qld domestic comp is bewildering to say the least. Why not play in the local Dewar Shield…surely it would strengthen that competition?
It seems to me that the Rebels have become the fall-guy for the utter ineptitude of RA. Easy just to draw a line and cross them out and so get rid of a cost they cannot afford. Thats just too easy RA and points the finger fair and square at the disgraceful performance of a series of inept RA Chairmen. That is never mentioned as a cause for the parlous state of the game in this country…why? It would be an utterly retrograde step to dismiss the Rebels. They deserve better!
