So impressed with Esteban this race so far. Like you said though, it would have been better if they had a rider in the breakaway. He has looked calm and strong all race. His only weakness was yesterday in the final kick. But he was also doing huge turns on the front, dragging up Nibali and Nieve on the wheel.
Today he doesn’t have to, Nibali has to be the aggressor.

The worst part about this stage is that it reaches 2700 metres in the middle of the stage, so a lot of domestiques will probably be dropped.
The good thing is Valverde has imploded both times at altitude, so he will find it tough early on.
I kinda don’t want to watch the stage, haven’t been this nervous since watching Cadel in the tour.
