You know we hate it when you talk sense Tim.

It was great to see a few players actually sent to the sin bin. Hopefully this enthusiasm continues.

Footy's back: Inconsistency, punching aplenty, and what about compulsory headgear?

Good to have you back Tim. It will be interesting to see what pressure on the coach any adverse results in India brings.

Boof Lehmann is a jerk, but it's what he's been bred to be

Agreed, a 5 – 2 – 2 split seems like the most logical and would be interesting to see trialed.

Time for the NRC law variations to make their Super Rugby debut

So, that was a yes, look out for next week’s article?

Jack Wighton's suspension confirms Match Review Committee's complete incompetence

I’m so excited that the Raiders have a double chance – more opportunities for a Gore rant! Annoyingly I have to agree though, 4 weeks?! Now I am not a fan of the shoulder charge, but a four week suspension is excessive. The comments from the MRC are particularly strange – it is as though they’re opening up a loop-hole to legalise shoulder charges again, while at the same time handing out an over the top penalty.

Can’t wait for next week’s contribution Tim – no doubt a bagging of Mick Ennis!

Have to agree, hard to go past the storm at the moment. Though I won’t be ruling out the great man Thurston just yet.

2016 premiers: The Melbourne Storm (and how to stop that happening)

You didn’t even get to mention the advantages the bronocos get Tim.

2016 premiers: The Melbourne Storm (and how to stop that happening)

Nice work as always Tim. I know this is one of your favourite subjects, and it is always nice to read a rant about the Friday Night Broncos. Make you wonder why they even bother waiting until the end of the season to release the last part of the draw – they still didn’t schedule Cronulla on Free To Air, so what was the point?

The NRL draw is so unfair it's almost criminal

Really looking forward to the season, the two afternoon games on TV is a great result. I also think the adjusted scoring system is definitely the right move. A goal being worth 1/3 of a try is perfect.

2016 National Rugby Championship Draw, rule changes announced

Couldn’t agree more Tim. It is farcical what the water boys are getting away with.

The NRL must throw the book at the Rabbitohs or risk losing control of the game

Some confronting stats there Tim, pretty bleak reading if you follow NSW. Is Jarryd Hayne available?

History is totally against NSW winning Origin in Brisbane

Surely you have an article on the way about over-representation of the raiders on free to air. Weren’t they on last week too?!

How is touching a referee worse than stomping a player?

This is your last warning Tim, bring up the raiders in your articles again and we will be forced to give you another stern warning.

Ennis and Alfie aren’t filthy cheats, they’re just smarter than you

Annoyingly you’re right Tim, and it isn’t new. Give away penalties, set your line. Easy game really.

Thanks Tim. Interesting rant. Pretty stark when you see it in a table like that. I for one wouldn’t have thought that I would ever feel sorry for Manly, but I kind of do…

The five-day turnaround: Brisbane wins again

Almost universal agreement Tim. Pigs really must fly.

Running messages… give me a break. Maybe we should just give them all ear pieces and turn the game into cycling or F1.

Get Alfie off the damn footy field

Surely someone should give the great Argentinian fly-half Hugo Porta a call. The man was a drop goal merchant. Potted three in a game v the All Blacks.

By the way, how good were the dying days of the Magpies – what a legacy.

Roosters, Warriors and Knights need to win this weekend, or give 2016 away

I see you haven’t changed your mind much Tim, I’m sure I’ve read all of these from you before!

5 minute sin bin is an absolute no brainer.

The first things that should be on the new NRL CEO's agenda

Thanks Tim, nice work. Finally the conjecture can end and we can actually see what the boys have been doing all off-season.

Really interesting the stat you raise re: metres conceded. Do the good teams just hold back and make sure their line doesn’t break?

Which way up? How your NRL side needs to improve in 2016

Definitely agree re: draws through the season and extra time in finals. Not sure the Mal comment is warranted. At least he was a better player than politician.

It was bloody good, but it was still not better than '89

Who would have thought, Tim picked a Canberra win as the best ever? Annoyingly he is probably right though.

Last week was a classic Gore rant. I agree, great article this week Tim, there are some really interesting stats in there which are far from obvious (I guess you can’t run your yearly article on the Roosters and Bulldogs gaming the system by giving away penalties this year). For me, it will be interesting how the crucial injuries which are occurring in the lead up to the finals among the contenders play a part. Surely this is the Cow’s year.

Predicting the premiers: Is it the Cowboys, Roosters or Dogs?

Comment of the day. Did you just throw a burrito out your window?

Wallabies Rugby World Cup squad: The curly questions

Wow, there’s a random assortment of topics in one article. As you point out Tim, a simple penalty will to stop the scourge of incessant niggling. Players will learn pretty quick.

How about penalising players for acting like a goose?

Let’s just have the GF at Suncorp. All QLD final at the best ground in Australia, would be a great advertisement for the game.
