9′ CHANCE CITY! James Brown received the ball inside the box and had two shots! First shot was blocked by Stefanutto and rebounded straight back to Brown whose second shot was snatched out of the air by Young. Roar very much under pressure.

6′ Another sharp ball in from the wings from City trying to find the tall timber of Josh Kennedy (aka Jesus). Roar keeper Young does well to claim the ball from the air.

Polenz injury is ruled as a quad problem. Brisbane Roar injury list is stacking up!

NEWS JUST IN: Jerome Polenz has suffered an injury during the warm-up, so Jade North is rushed back from injury to replace him in central defence.

Some clear changes for Brisbane Roar following their 4-1 thrashing to Western Sydney Wanderers. Daniel Bowles and Jerome Polenz replace Luke Brattan and Shane Stefanutto as makeshift centre-backs while Brattan and Stefanutto return to their usual positions. The Roar will be hoping this shores up their leaky defence.

Good evening and thanks for joining me for live updates of tonight’s very important clash! Remember, five points separate these sides in the race for the sixth spot in the finals. A win for City would all but put Brisbane’s title defence out of reach, whilst a win for Brisbane would make the race even tighter. Enjoy!

The match is over, along with Heart’s finals aspirations which are all but out of reach (barring a miracle of sorts.) Heart took the lead with what looks like the goal of the year through Engelaar but were punished through efficient counter-attacks by the Mariners. The Mariners are performing admirably considering their heavy schedule, and now find themselves even on points with Melbourne Victory who are in second place on the ladder. Thanks for joining me here at The Roar. Hope you enjoyed the coverage.
