Eddie is on the shelf and he knows it.

Rugby News: 'I'd feel like a traitor' - Eddie says he'd reject prestige job, reveals surprise Japan 'stumbling block' as SBW goes WHACK

Excellent piece. “Or that the panel might determine that Jones made a conscious decision to jettison a number of vastly experienced players in order to get a head start on preparation for the 2027 World Cup”. That’s the line Harrison pumped from start to finish. He came out of the WC campaign looking very foolish.

The Wrap: What will the Wallabies' external season review reveal that we don’t already know?

As a commentator, he backed friend Eddie all he way, vehemently defending his squad and selections/coaching, even when the game was up. Remember when he belittled Michael Atkinson on air when he dared a counter opinion.

Ex-Wallabies and high-performance expert named to review World Cup shocker

Waugh has finally got some decent PR advice.

'Completely unfair': Eddie sledge that angered Waugh, new coaching contenders emerge to rebuild Wallabies

More time. One swallow doesn’t make a summer, as we see all the time in Australian rugby.

Exclusive: Path clear for McKellar to return as Wallabies coach despite Leicester job, Cheika's update on future

Dan managed a very tidy win over firm favourite Bath Saturday despite a stack of World Cup players yet to come back on stream. Great squad at Leicester. Doubt they’d be swapping him for Cheika.

Exclusive: Path clear for McKellar to return as Wallabies coach despite Leicester job, Cheika's update on future

Well done. The sad part is so many on here swallowed it all, hook, line and sinker.

Read it and weep: Eddie made Wallabies fans 'eat s--t' for 10 months - here's every bit of BS he uttered

Check the Rennie record v SA. I take it you think under Rennie ( with a full complement of best players finally available), we would have been uncompetitive in the WC, thus justifying his sacking? I don’t buy that at all.

Didn’t we just try that? We went from a whisker of beating France and Ireland with a depleted team, to being an international joke.

Simon is the latest light bulb. Did he get the best out of that Fijian team? Maybe, maybe not. Dan M knows the players and systems and will quickly bring about a re-set. We need stability now, not more experimentation.

Exclusive: Path clear for McKellar to return as Wallabies coach despite Leicester job, Cheika's update on future

Last time I read, he was passionate about Eddie staying on and finishing the job.

Dan M is by far the best option. Quality coach and individual. An adult. He can quickly heal. Cheika is yesterday, and too divisive. Larkham needs more time.

“Personally”. Yes. What a giveaway. The jornos should have been all over it.

Eddie Jones says he needs to 'give myself an uppercut' but '100 percent' committed to coaching Wallabies

Journos. Go back to his earliest quotes, and throw them back at him. Be prepared for his his predictable responses. My guess is that he will essentially claim he inherited a basket case from Rennie, McKellar, Lord etc. which, of course is utter crap.

'He's got to be honest'- Wallabies legend's message to mate Eddie as ex-skipper says Jones 'never committed'

Even the teams Eddie fielded were badly coached. The attacking and defensive structures were amateurish. The irrational selections were amateurish. Even on coaching grounds he should go. What has decent player will want to hang around Australian rugby to be exposed to him and his fantasies and whims?

McKellar is a winner on and off the field.

The three contenders to take over the Wallabies if Eddie Jones walks

Most of us are committed to Australia. Still the weasel words. Nothing new here.

Eddie digs in as he flies home - AGAIN denying he wants to quit to coach Japan, while revealing next step

‘RA’s PR people’. An oxymoron, surely.

REPORT: Eddie Jones to quit Wallabies and join Japan as head coach

We were a shoe in to make the semis if Rennie and his coaching staff had been retained and the best squad selected.

REPORT: Eddie Jones to quit Wallabies and join Japan as head coach

Well put.

Jones to return to Australia as Japanese reports link Wallabies coach as favourite to take over Brave Blossoms

Keep thinking how badly Waugh has played his cards. Needs one of the other Waughs to teach him how to play with a straight bat.

REPORT: Eddie Jones to quit Wallabies and join Japan as head coach

Certainly a snake.

The first thing that is needed to ‘fix’ the game is a new Board and Chair that understand the game of rugby, and Australian rugby culture. Thinking they could unjustifiably and cruelly flick Rennie without any thought of considerable downside risks, was astounding. A dereliction of duty.

'Caesar is not going to be unkind to Caesar': Ex-ARU coaching director's report for RA - and what's needed to fix game

“Jones has categorically denied the report…” He hasn’t Christy. He’s obfuscated all along.
