This is great.
There’s a potential TV mini-series here – a big vision, a desparate, spurned administrator and would-be entrepreneur, a poorly thought-out game that nobody understood (were there official rules, or just some vague ideas?), some ideas well ahead of their time (especially the night game), and pitiful failure, a witch-hunt, a cover-up. The reverse of world series cricket up to a point.
