“I get criticised about it all the time,” Inglis admitted on Queenslanders Only.
“Look there was no doubt I was born in NSW and played all my junior league for NSW.
“People ask me where I’m from and I say I’m born and raised in Kempsey which is mid-north coast NSW.
“The reason why I chose Queensland — I had a choice — back then it was a choice I said to myself ‘I’ve been living up here for two years and this is where I want to stay’. I wanted to stay up and I actually wanted to play for the Broncos.

Yeah, I try to stay away from criticising refs and the judiciary but this year seems to have a greater degree of inconsistency than usual.

Agree, a lot of the imagery seems to miss the point of ANZAC Day. Certainly, it is not meant to celebrate combat. As you say, it should celebrate peace and give thanks for service.

Surely one of the first things you learn about passing, even in backyard footy – don’t throw a pass that might be intercepted! If the defence is rushing up out wide, a few short kicks in behind will sort that out.

Granted some of the situations I have in mind he probably wouldn’t have stopped the try. But a true FB H8s the try line being breached and will get back to cover the 5% chance the carrier trips or gets a bad bounce. Sloan’s attitude is “meh, someone else can …”
