Easy to see the problems when a team is down, kicking them in the groin as you do it. Much harder to analyse how a team like Brisbane Roar have failed this year. Some say team selection is the key, others will tell you it is match fitness, others that they’ve lost their way.
I read some of this article, some give useful insights – though not many give solutions.
By the way, both teams have to play on a ground [that’s what gives football its fairness]. Criticising a state because it is not going well financially??? Is Western Sydney an expensive place to live with 1,000 coal mines???
What's the stink at Adelaide United?
It just begs the question, maybe someone should write an article with the following headline:
“WHY ARE LOWER LEVEL TEAMS COMING TO AUSTRALIA”
It could deal with things like; Australia used to be too good and that’s a reason these teams are here no-one else wants to play, everyone can see the big white rabbit in the room and don’t even think of coming to Austalia!
Enough said, Australia were too good! I don’t know what commentator said it in the broadcast, but they said W.I. are a lot better than they were three (3) years ago. God knows what they were like then, probably better known as the ostrich team [head in the sand].
If you really want to see top class games look at the twenty twenty (20×20) IPL games, EXCELLENT! I could only watch a couple at the pub or club of my choice, lets put them on free-to-air and we can all enjoy them!!!

More people want to see big games, need bigger stadium for these games. It makes sense when you look at it. Would I go to a big stadium, not in my life-time or anyone elses. Hate having to go to the toilet or buy something at the bigger stadium. Half-time toilet being the main concern though, have you stood in line busting for a piss. When you get there you have to squeeze in between people and hopefully without any stage fright you are free to pee.
I hope you get some humour out of this, I hope that you someday get to experience this … I also hope that you can laugh about it :O
NRL clubs targeting revenue increase
If someone’s already mentioned it or if they haven’t, isn’t it about time that clubs were owned by their fans and/or businesses. Just as I posted in a football RSS today, teams need to be financed this way 🙂

Someone in my AFL RSS for this site mentioned replays interrupting game play, I think your hatred for Gus should remain at that. I get bored every time a replay interrupts the opposing side getting the ball, how many times does it happen. Only the other day a team got the ball back from a drop by the opposition, did I see it NO because “Phil Gould thought it best for me to see some bozzo making a lunge for the try line 6 plays ago” 🙁

Please, please, replays and camera panning to fans and coaches at end of quarters.
As for the NRL, please let me see the plays without looking at an old man or cute chick in the crowd. Let me see the plays instead of a replay!!!

Maybe, just maybe, it is time for Newcastle to own the Jets. Put it on the stockmarket and lets see where it lies. You can even have it as a PTY LTD with shareholders being businesses or the like.

Hey how are you supposed to win a game when your getting belted around the head and the ref does nothing. Wow, Tiger fans you ought to launch a class action!!!
It was a good game however and the Tige’s might have won if they weren’t concussed. Some of them looked like punch drunk boxers that can be seen in your local pub’s.
Oh well, they’ll get up in their next game. They always give 100% the tiger’s and Andrew Johns can’t read them, in my opinion that’s what makes them great.
Good side, hope the ref’s can keep their eyes open with St G., reckon they’ll be top 4!

I agree with oikee “i did not ezxpect to much this year”, you haven’t been disappointed then. Brisbane played like crap, the only thing was that the Knights played worse … much worse.
I have been a Knight’s supporter, since they entered the NRL, having been born in Newcastle. I can’t blaim the coach and I can’t blaim the players (understrength team), what I can blaim is the stupid ball handling skills.
If you can see this Wayne … get them to catch and throw swords or spears or such. Surely they won’t drop them and hopefully they won’t miss an innocent football or two.
We weren’t outplayed, we were simply stuffed from the get-go LOL

Get rid of the scrum, keep calling forward passes, tell the captain if he comes up to you again then its the bin, sin bin more players for dissent, sin bin them for high tackles, warn constantly then its the bin and don’t take crap even from coaches get them sent from the ground. I wanna see ole 80’s referees again, aagh yes those good old beat ’em up days. [Daydreamin]
